Title: NUAH Submission #2 - 112 Yards with Airforce Escape
Post by: frodo9mm on June 27, 2019, 07:28:30 AM
Please find my 2nd NUAH Submission below.    Attempting to pull myself up a rung or two.

Equipment Details:

Gun - .AirForce Escape - Stock parts
Barrel: Stock * .22 Caliber Lothar Walther
Air Tank  213cc
Fill Pressure - 2100 PSI
FPS - 1100-ish
Scope - BSA Tactical 30mm First Focal Plan 4-24X, with AE
Ammo - 18.13 JSB Diablo Exact Match
Other - Nikon Range Finder, UTG Bipod, Air Tanks Plus StikMan and Carbon Fiber SCBA Tank, Huma External Reg

NUAH Range Submission - I would like to submit the following Target:

Date: 1/26/2019
Time: 1730 to 1930
Range:  112 yards to the Target Stand
Ammo - 18.13 JSB Diablo Exact Match
Wind/Weather:   Variable 0 to 5 mph North, Shifting to E; Sunny;  Temperature: 81 F
Rifle - .AirForce Escape - Stock parts
Ammo/Cal: JSB Exact Match 18.13 .22
Group: 1.6 Inch CTC
Position:  Bench, using UTG Tripod

Comments and Areas to Improve Upon:
The bench UTG tripod worked better than the Caldwell bag for this gun.
Scope needs a cheek riser. Hold was better than last time, but so so.
Need a little more volume to push the JSB 25 to the FPS I want. Will get this with the power wheel.

WRAP-UP:  Again, this is a heck of a lot of fun.  I am not sure what the next steps are to run this gun to a tighter group at 100, but that is part of the challenge.

Thank you and Best Regards to All,
Fletch

Thank you, Fellas.

Finally found a day that was not too windy here in VA.

Ran low in air in SCBA.  Next time I want to try the 25grn JSB's.

Fletch.... I moved you up a couple of notches to the Sharpshooter Division. Congratulations and good shooting.

Just curious, what range do you shoot at? I usually shoot at RR&PC outside of Charlottesville. Yours looks a little nicer.

Hi Marty - Thank you!  I shoot at Airfield Shooting Club, in Wakefield, VA. When you or other members are down this way, please IM me.  We can connect.

Rivanne looks pretty nice.  I am not so sure ASC is any better.  If fact, I will be up at your range a week from Saturday.  I am on the Virginia 4-H Shooting Education Council, and am the South East Virginia District Representative this year.  (Trying to pass some of this goodness on to our Next Gen of Shooters.)

Thank you Again and Best Regards,
Fletch

That is a great 3 shot group! Always seems to be a couple that just don't want to cooperate.

Lol. Yes, indeed.  I was just praying the last shoot would hit in 4MOA. I knew the 1st couple shots were tight, but could not see all of them exactly.  I need to work on my hold.

Marty -

It goes without saying - Thank you for all your doing with GTA.. I personally enjoy it much more than our club casual matches.

Best Regards,
Fletch
