FedEx decided to hang onto it for an extra day, but it's finally here. Complete with an Ebay Froggy239 ldc this thing is library quiet, and it likes cphps. I didn't have time to test anything else in it today. My only gripe so far is the shoulder stock, but I knew that going in. I'll be looking at options to replace it as soon as possible.

Eddie you are going to enjoy that nice air gun. Mine likes h&n fft 14 grn & crosman
14 grn chp & domes. The domes were the most accurate. :D

Thanks! Most of my pellet selection is on the heavy side. I might have to pick up some of those h&n ffts.

That looks really nice; the ldc suits it. Checked out the vendor's listing; is it true you have to remove the ldc to take the cover off the fill port?

Eddie I had the experience of blowing my TKO LDC right apart after installing the SS valve in my Prod, the pressures were just too much for it. Once I knew how the TKO was made I understood why, the one that I had was basically pressed together and would have handled any pressures that a stock Prod would have given it. Hopefully that LDC that you have there is better than what the TKO's were then. I've got a Rocker1 on mine now and it's pretty much bullet proof 8)

Congrats, EdinGa - You will enjoy the P-rod. Please share the results of your LDC in dB and your FPS and setup as you Chrono it. Best Regards, Fletch

I forgot to mention that. Yes, the dust cover works fine with the ldc. I don't know if that's true of all marauder pistols or not, but mine has plenty of clearance.

Thanks for the heads up, Wayne. This one has a set screw securing the delrin end caps. At this point, I'm planning to leave the power where it's at. I mainly wanted this for plinking, so a higher shot count is about all I'm looking for.

I don't have a dB meter, but I'm sure there's an app I can use. It's practically silent to my ears though. I'll get some chrony numbers soon.

Have you tried the P-rod without the LDC? - Just wondering how effective it is compared to stock. I received my P-rod yesterday as well. Certainly the price of the LDC seems attractive.

It was pretty quiet without it, but it's almost silent with it, and I think it improves the looks too.

Nice! I ordered the same model this morning for my PRod. Thx again, Fletch

14.3 grain cphp
Starting from a 2500 psi fill I shot 3 magazines down to 1700 psi. My average was 638 fps for 13 ft/lbs. The high was 654 and the low was 624 with an SD of 10.4. I downloaded a decibel meter and got 68db at the muzzle and 64db at 10 yards.

Thanks for the video. Sounds quiet. I just installed the same ldc on mine. It's good enough for what I need. Pretty quiet. Good enough for my basement indoor range. Only hear the pellet whacking my vintage Outers .22 cal trap. Thanks for posting about your P-Rod!

No problem at all. Are you able to use your dust cover? I was looking at mine, and it looks like the threads aren't cut all the way up to the flat. There's a small gap between the end cap and the barrel shroud even after I screw it in as far as it will turn. I think that's why I have enough room to slide the cover on and off. I'm happy it worked out that way though.

Yes, I can just use the dust cover. Sometimes it takes a little wiggling and jiggling, but there is enough clearance. However, like yours, it doesn't screw all the way in. Still works, and the price was right for the ldc.

If you're like me, you have a hard time keeping up with the dust cover. I keep forgetting to put mine back on, and then I have to go looking for it. I'm thinking about buying one of the rubber ones that tether to the fitting like the paintball guys use.
I agree about the effectiveness and the price point. I'm not planning to take mine off anytime soon.

Took it out to 40 yards today with several different pellets. Those 2 groups with the Daisy pointed pellets are for Kirby. 😊
