Title: Caldwell Pic Rail Adaptor Plate: $14.39
Post by: FuzzyGrub on May 30, 2019, 08:37:30 AM
I saw positive comments here on GTA.  It had been sitting in saved cart, and the price dropped $3 yesterday.  Two are on their way, now.

Yes, Amazon Cart's Save for Later feature is excellent, and every GTA'er who frequents the Bargain Gate should be exploiting it. [Amazon is to be commended for (conceiving and [competently] implementing) this feature--a tool for those patient and frugal.]

Another tool is the website camelcamelcamel.com for a graphical price history of an Amazon item. For example, the subject of this thread:

Also the Honey browser extension: https://www.joinhoney.com/features/amazon (https://www.joinhoney.com/features/amazon)

Will even send you an email on price drops, plus scan for a better price.

Thanks, but No Thanks. That doesn't jibe with my preference [pull vs push], privacy concerns [email, etc.], et al. But, to each their own.

I've only used it for around 3 weeks, but has been very helpful.  Works with more than Amazon and looks and tries coupon codes.   Email addresses are required everywhere.  One account for the majority of stuff, including forums, and another for the important things, you want to minimize your exposure.   As you said, to each thier own.

(All this time you thought you were dining ... until you realized you were the food.)
As much as I like to save money (and I really do), I endeavor to keep the cost/risk/benefit analysis aligned with my own values.

[I've been on this thing since the beginning. When there were 9 computers connected in mid-1970 (attached), I was a Research/Systems Programmer on one of them.]

The one I received today, mounted to a Boyd's stock.   The sling stud swivel on the cadwell, not really needed, since Boyd's supply two to begin with.   The Boyd's have bolt through sling studs, so makes for tight strong connections.   Photo below shows it next to a type I don't particularly like, mounted on a syn stock.
