I was wondering if the Crosman and Benjamin pellets are the same pellets just with different labels on them? I have a Benjamin sample pack of pellets and they look just like the Crosman pellets I have and seem to shoot the same. I was hoping the Benjamins would be better quality but they seem to just charge more for them because of the name. What say you?

You answered your own question.

Same pellet, just a branding change. I have opened the Benji variety with the same crappy flashing on the skirts that I get on the Crosman Premieres. A few years ago the brown box Crosmans were one of the most popular pellets on this forum, but their glory is progressively being stolen by JSB, H&N and AA.

I emailed Crosman about Benjamin Discovery vs CPHP, and Crosman replied that the pellets are identical except for the packaging.

I had a feeling they were the same but was hoping maybe they used a different (better) mold/die for the Benjis. My sample of Benjis were actually pretty clean and did not have a lot of skirt flashing in the tin.

Yeah, I had a tin of Benji .22 pellets that were shooting pretty good. I thought maybe they were different, but Crosman said not.

The BIG difference is that they pack 750 in the Benjamin tin of .177 instead of 500 Crosman.

I have grouped Crosman and Benjamin .177 pellets in MANY guns.
They have never been the most accurate pellets in any of my guns.
The JSB and the Air Arms usually give the best groups in my .177 guns.
Different guns group best with different pellets.
My Daisy 880 groups best with the cheap Daisy Flat-Nosed pellets made in Spain that came with the gun.

Comparing to the two I noticed the Benjamins were cleaner. Maybe the Crosmans had a grafite type of dry lube on them.
Other than that they shoot the same.
