Title: Xisico? Are they good quality and accurate?
Post by: Tommyzgunz on May 09, 2019, 03:28:40 PM
I just recently discovered the Flying Dragon Airguns site after a fellow member told me about how good a tuner Mike is. While browsing I found the Xisisco line on that site. Any owners here? How's the quality and accuracy? The underlever springer caught my attention and the Sentry looked awesome too. Prices are crazy good .  Any of you guys pick up any of these and also add a full tune from him?. Mike also seems to have a great reputation.

I have the XS46U in .177 lube tuned. Very happy with the rifle, no problems, easy to cock and pretty accurate. Trigger is single stage but easy to get used to. Dave

I only have one gun from Mike and I love it.  It is the XS-60C in 22.  Mike tuned it to my desired power level.  I was shooting it again just yesterday, at 30 yds it shoots dime sized groups.  I could not be more happy and Mike is a super great guy.  Give him a call between nine and noon.

How's the noise level?

The noise level is not bad but not quiet.  I put a Rocker 1 LDC on mine and it is very backyard friendly now.

I bought a fully tuned XS28-M from them a few weeks ago. I'm very happy with it. I don't know exactly how much the tune helped since I didn't shoot it before the tune, but the shot cycle sounds and feels more like a gas ram than spring, which I think says alot, especially on a 23 FPE Springer.

I was disappointed at first because the FPS numbers weren't written on the box, but then I found the card with FPS readings for 5 different pellets and a target showing grouping of JSB 18.1s at 25 yards.

Good quality and accurate? Yes they are, Accurate given the right pellet.
Mike is a great guy and I've enjoyed doing business with him. I haven't had any problems with ordering from him and I've only ever had issue with one airgun, but that has more to do with the cheap o rings the Chinese use on the sentry.

I don't have one but I've no doubt those guns are great !!! I'm a fan of the SPA stuff and also the Nova Vista stuff.  I just can't bring myself to spend the money on a high end airgun so I have been getting the Chinese PCP's.  If I was a paper puncher I would probably get an FX before I'd buy the Daystate stuff cause I'm sure the FX's are just as accurate as the Daystates are.  Actually they're really not cheaper(cost) either to a certain point.  I think that with the Chinese guns I feel safer when tearing them apart to modify or whatever.

I have a Sentry in .22, I did not get a tune, did my own, but if you are not a tinkerer then get the gun tuned by Mike, his prices are reasonable, and he does quality work.

I have and have had several of Mike's guns.
Top notch. The man makes magic with a Chinese springer.
Who else gives a lifetime warranty that's also transferable?
Be sure to hang onto the box with Mike's notes. It's your proof of purchase.

Mike does this thing where he layers the spring guide with shrink wrap and heavy tar..... amazing results. The key to a smooth, solid "thunk" shot cycle in a springer is to make that spring spin free on the top hat and thrust washer. I've learned a ton about tuning springers from Mike and others here.

[/quote,
That is amazing. The thing I've learned very quickly here since joining is that the members are very diverse in their knowledge and most importantly willing to share. For those like me that have been into the hobby a short time ,it's invaluable to have that many knowledgeable people to interact with. I'm really enjoying this forum .I do at times say to myself "jeez you got a lot to learn " lol

"Xisico? Are they good quality and accurate?"

Yes, and Yes...
They are "good" quality... not "fine"... but good.
You might find a minor rough edge in the wood  and the metal is Chinese steel, not German.
But for the price per smile you just can't beat an Xisico that Mike M. has worked on.
I have a Setry, and an XS60-C from him. They are such a pleasure to shoot that I just placed an order for an XS-12 for my Grand-Daughter.
Each time I spoke to him on the phone, he has been a great guy to deal with.

True that.... Betty Lou and I have a pair of them in the gun case. Fun open sight plinkers. Shoot them all day without stressing any muscles.
