I’ll be hunting woodchucks to 35 yards. Should I sight it in at 35 yards
In fall I’ll be using it on squirrels. Farm owners want me to shoot coyotes
If some come my way I still would keep that at 35 yards.
Pretty new to Air Gun Hunting. Got a Maximus 22 call last fall, just Got the
Maurader on sale
Liking the 8 shot clip for follow up shots if needed
Retired and getting back into the joy and peacefulness of hunting and being in
The woods and farm country.
Thanks

Welcome to airgunning!
I hope that someone with better knowledge helps you here, but this is what I have for you.
Do you know about chairgun? It's a program that helps you calculate a lot of situations. You need a cronograph to get some idea of your initial velocity. Then sight in at your chosen distance. You then verify various ranges with actual target practice.
If you have a target zone at 35 yards then that might be the best way to go.
I have a 25 synrod also. I first sighted in at 20 yards, about 1 inch low, it worked out pretty well because it was pretty good 40 to 50 yards.

I hope that you get the information that you need. The wording of your title should give a good description of your request, like: " help sighting a 25 synrod".
-
Sighting your scope in at the intended target distance will do well, and you won't have to use any holdover or mil-dots. Just set your scope magnification to whatever zoom you'll be using if equipped with a SFP scope, and keep it there when shooting.

Good luck, welcome to the best of hobbies, and congratulations to your recent retirement!

Thanks for the advice sighted it in today at 30 yards Shot 16 shots #9 I pulled a little to the right. The other 15 shots was about 7/8 “ guess that’s a good start haven’t shot in awhile. Really liking this gun.
Hope to learn more about tuning. Plan on getting a chrony soon
Thanks ;D

Welcome to GTA. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your marauder. I have a marauder in 22 caliber and an armada in 25 caliber both are amazing guns. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. There are a lot of guys on this website who really know a lot about tuning and setting up air guns and are always very happy to help.

I would zero at that distance. Then, if necessary, move it out more later for yotes.

With a bit of searching you'll find enough info to make your head spin. Don't hesitate to ask. There are great guys here that love to help.
Remember, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
