Just changed the mounting bracket on my PP700's so they sit lower ... I like it. Added a stock to the PP700W to match the PP700SA ... both stocks shimmed for no movement ! Both guns are very low profile and are very non fancy looking. I have not decided if I will have some type of sling on them or not ?
The PP700W shoots at around 650fps with 10.5gr CPH. If I can adjust the PP700SA regulator I would like that gun in the mid 700's. Both guns are a work in progress yet both sighted in ~30 yds..Both guns are in .177 cal
DonnyFL LDC arrives this Thur. and that will be the main moderator I use in the field as these guns need to be very quiet where I shoot !!
These guns are set up for Starlings, Hosp and Feral Pigeons .. Don't think I will be doing to much squirreling with these, but you never know.
These are my light, easy carry, small pest guns ... Got to say they are pretty cool !!!

Keep it coming Will, maybe you’ll be posting something in the hunting gate soon? Both of the rigs look good.
-
That’s great!
Because I ran across your posts, I just ordered one from Krale. Mine is .177. I’m looking forward to getting it and putting it together as a carbine rifle.
What/where do I need for an adapter to thread on a moderator?
Thanks!

bReTt,
I buy many of the moderator stuff from Donny F and TKO ... they has been doing this king of stuff a long while and are well known for there work. DonnyFL makes some higher end stuff, he is not giving his items away, that is for sure, but what you get is top notch quality.
I have his adapter on my PP700S-A and it is very nice ... sells them for $40.00, they are machined stainless and come with a knurled cap. My Tanto cost me $99.00 and I'll show pics of it when I get it.
There are others that make the same items on this forum and Rocket1 (David) made the LDC that is on my PP700W as you see it now .. and it does work well, you may want to contact him. I bought my PP700W used from him and he is a stand up guy for sure and many, many folks on this forum have had him do work on there PP700's for them !!!

I have the SUMO on my Streamline. Donny does great business and products. I give him a shout for an adapter and hush hush.

Very nice Luis! I was going to order the folding stock but I think I want to attempt something different. I should have bought it as a backup though, at least to get me moving until I get the motivation to make my own.

I can vouch for David's work on the PP700. Mine was his test-bed. I haven't changed much since I got it back a couple years ago. Filled it a buncha times and sent many tins of pellets down range (15000-ish?).
If/when WesBob gets these in rifle-form, I'll be ordering up the .22, though the PP750 repeater also has my attention.

Luis, what caliber is yours?
I just ordered the threaded adapter and a Tanto from DonnyFL today. I also ordered a Simmons scope, rings and an Atlas clone bipod. Now I need to find some sort of way to attach the bipod to the gun. Once i receive the pistol, I’ll have to start figuring out how to make a stock for it and how to attach it. I’m not looking for high power in the gun, more for shot count. I’m curious to see what it does out of the box.

@brett, mine is .22 it’s doing about 14 FPE with Crosman 14.3 gr premiers.

DonnyFl Tanto arrived a day early, very quiet. I ordered the cone tapered back end, but will use my company milling machine to trim about .375 off the end so it looks better on the gun. Yes, shot my PP700S-A with and without the Donny on it ... and yes it does make a very noticeable difference !
Filled up the PP700w and PP700S-A making sure they hold air, I think they do.
Will grind down the sides of the 4mm hex allen tomorrow at work so maybe it will be easier get in and adjust the regulator.
Nice little walk about gun's for sure !!

Snugged down all stock screws, so guns are ready to go ;-)

Just proceed to the PP700 Artemis Adventure thread and you will find him there.
Same gent who produces the excellent aftermarket Urban mags, PP700 stock, and folding PROD stock.

PP700S-A is loosing about 350 psi in the 24 hr period ... not the end of the world, but I will fix that.
Will sight her in tomorrow so she is on at 20yds - 30 yds and the is about 2.0 low at 45 yds with a muzzle velocity of ~700 fps using CPH 10.5 gr pellets.

They're leakers.
Mine developed leaks in 3 different places. First the fill port, later at the regulator body, then finally at brass piston in the regulator.
A fourth place was blowby at the breech seal. I don't consider that to be a leak in the strictest sense, but it doesn't speak well of the bubble gum OEM O-rings.

Being my PP700S-A has been pumped up less then a few days and never shot with a pellet in it, I'm willing to give it a few days to "Settle In", after that I will install the new 70 Duro Buna-n seals I got yesterday.
I'm assuming the leaking seals you are talking about are big ones around the fill port body and the regulator body. Might as well change the one in the brass piston also and lube them with Molycote 111 White Silicone grease while I'm at it !

Change them all.

Every thing (including PCP's) made to hold pressure will eventually leak....pretty much the same for stuff made to hold a vacuum. Nature/entropy just works against an imbalance.
It all pretty much comes down the the simple o-ring. Kind of like tires on a car; they aren't going to last forever, but the right tire/alignementwill last longer than crappy tires. We can also consider that the PCP was assembed at the same time, so the o-rings are all of about the same age, so it's likely best to change them ALL when one croaks.
There are only PCP's that have leaked and PCP's that have yet not leaked.

Checked her when I got home at 7 ish and she is down from yesterdays 7 ish filling 300psi, so air is coming out of somewhere. I will pump her up in the am and take her out for some fun shooting and see how she does.
Looking forward to it for sure .

Loaded up the air chamber, and sighted in the S-A for her first outing. Used the Reflex sight at home and dialed her in at 15 yards.
Went out to the first place and chronographed her ...was getting 755+fps, when I finally realized I was using CPHP's ;- ( Then shot her using CPH (10.5gr) and she was getting around 675 fps at 200+ bar and was pretty steady at that Velocity .. I stopped shooting at about 17 shots.
This Chili can I shot at 28 long paces, and every pellet zipped right through ... there are 12 hits but there were 5 misses too as she was shooting a lot higher then I thought.

After shooting at this spot I went to spot #2 with the hope of seeing a Starling or two ... well no starlings but there were a few feral pigeons ..... I will just say there is one less feral pigeon in the world today, about a 35 yard shot !
I will be going out again tomorrow, guns have been pumped up and I'm checking on the S-A for the slow leak ... I'm hoping that with usage she will settle in.
Did not shoot the "W" today as I wanted to get a good feel for the S-A.
BTW: For me, these guns are not backyard friendly at all without a LDC. I had to order another end cap for my DonnyFL Tanto as I'm a lousy machinist and I really ruined that cap ....There goes $35.00 plus shipping down the drain !!!!
This little gun is a real beauty !!
wll
Side Bar: Tanto end cap came in today ... WOW that was fast !!!! Will use it tomorrow.

She is a little beastie, I mean beauty... mine has exceeded expectations, when it starts to leak, I’ll deal with it. Otherwise a really good value, a big thanks to all who took the time to post about this little gem.

That’s great William!
My Tanto and adapter delivered today! I’m going to eat some frozen pizzas, cooked of course, and then head out to see about getting the barrel end cap off and installing the new adapter and hush hush.
I feel like I just joined some sort of club by buying this pistol. He he! 🤪🤩😎

@Brett, you have joined the “peoplepleasing700singleaction” club. Mine is begging to go to the dairy tonight, she wants to taste some rats. If the rain holds off, I’m going to indulge the little beastie.

Tanto makes a world of difference in quietness. Still has a pop to it though. I expected much less. Not bad, just less. I have a SUMO on a 30 fpe .22 FX Streamline and it’s amazingly quiet. Really only the action can be heard, it’s that good.
What kind of accuracy are you guys getting on paper, what distance and what pellet?
I just tried JSB 8.4 and 7.3. The 7.3 are more accurate @ 25yds. They are shooting an average of 680 fps. I filled up and I have shot 40 shots so far. I think it will be close to 60 shots before it drops into the yellow on the gauge.
Best wishes to both of you in your shooting adventures this weekend and Happy Easter!

I'm just starting to test mine in earnest, my "W" version is getting 650fps, my "S-A" version is in the 675 range.
I'm using a reflex sight and my hits are in the dot around 25 yds ... not the most accurate sighting mechanism in the world, but for my use it is fine.
I just posted a question about speed with the 10.5gr CPH's I'm using.
Are you going to use your PP700 for just for pesting or pesting and general playing around ... and how many good shots are you looking for ?

I’m just a backyard plinker. I shoot paper, and reactive targets. I like precision though. I don’t need power. I’m thinking this pistol would make a great pester but I don’t have any pest problems, well maybe I should knock out some of the rabbits running around but I would use my Streamline for that most likely. I wish that I had somewhere to go shoot rats 🐀! This thing would be fantastic for that. I envy Luis in that respect.
Update for ya though... I went out and shot the rest of the air in the tank. It hit the yellow on the gauge at 70 shots and at 80 I turned the chrony back on. Shot 80 was 600 fps and it dropped off each shot after that and I saw the POI dropping after shot 80 to 85. Then I stopped. The guage is clearly in the yellow.
For what I do, the power and shot count is awesome! I shot paper, steel spinners and plastic dinosaurs 🦕 🦖.
-
70 shots at 600fps is a nicely balanced tune. If you don’t try to push these guns, they are a plinkers dream. When you lean on them, they still don’t do too bad. Dealing with hammer fall can be the downfall of any gun. On this gun, I hardly notice it.

On would think that as popular as these are there would be more sources to get them.
I do understand they are available from someone in England which is probably a two week wait +-.

Check and see if you are getting blowby at the breech seal. That makes quite a bit of noise, especially since it is nearer your ear. Drape a tissue over the breech... I bet you will see it jump when you shoot from air escaping. You can adjust that gap, by screwing in the valve body just a bit more (back off the small grub screw that locks the valve body in place first.) You want it tight as you can get it, without it trying to slice the breech seal o-ring when you rotate the breech closed. Might take a few tries to find the right amount.
I made a tool to turn the valve body out of a small piece of wood and two 2mm drill bits which I sunk into two holes the proper spacing apart, until only about 1/2" of the shanks were sticking out. Crude but effective. Probably more than one way to skin that cat. Just remember to back off that grub screw first... AMHIK.
-
I'm using the moderator adapter from JSAR. Really nice bit of machining in SS. Perfect fit, nice threads, broached for a hex key.
-
I'm very lucky. I've had the pp700 a couple of years now and NO leaks. None! Power is great in the .22. I am shooting both pellets in the low 700's and my 31 gr slugs in the very high 500's to low 600's.
I tried the type of reflex sights you have on your guns and they were lousy to say the least. I broke down and upped the quality to the 600 b from (darned I can't remember right now), I will look i tup. Cost was 50+ bucks, 3mm dot, dead accurate, auto shut off. OK, it is pictured and is an ADE from a U.S. company that has them made to their specs in China.
At 20 and 30 yards, it will print 1/2" at 20 and 3/4" at 30 with my slugs and even more accurate with my hand cast NOE .22 pellets. :o
I will post a pic of some of the groups. And a steel ram at 80 yards using hold over. The ram is a 1'" 3 shot group using nothing but good old fashion Kentucky Windage Hold Over. That's 80 yards folks!!! ;) The dot is a 1/2" pricing dot. :o
I am using the Rocker-1 adapter and LDC on it. 8)
