I upgraded the factory scope on my Gamo Magnum .22 with the Nikon Prostaff P3 Target EFR scope (1" diameter, very similar dimensions to the factory scope). However with this new scope (mounted with the factory rings) I have to turn the elevation knob all the way up as far as it will go, but I still need a bit more elevation for zeroing.
So I'm thinking of using Burris Signature Rings with the Posalign Ring Insert Kit to center the scope better on the rifle and then use minimal knob adjustment.
I am new to changing out scopes and I am not sure if this is the ring set that I need.
The factory rings are attached to a plate that clamps onto the dovetail base, but the Burris rings are individual rings without a plate. I am not sure if I need the medium or high version, and I don't know what the difference is between the Signature Universal Dovetail vs. the Signature Rimfire/Airgun rings (which also mount to dovetail).
Or maybe I need a different Burris product?
Signature Universal
420501 1 in. Medium 0.77 in.
Signature Rumfire and Airgun
420554* 1 in. Medium 0.90 in.
420556* 1 in. High 1.29 in.
Posalign Ring Insert Kit
626019 1 each of +/-.005, +/-.010, +/-.020 inserts

UTG makes a drooper mount that gives you 20 moa I think. Then you could attach the rings to it. They sell it on amazon and at pyramid air as well if you want to check it out. Its a nice scope adjustment saver. I love Burris rings I have them on my armada and marauder. They are very solid and hold the scope really well.

Thanks, great tip!
Would that be the "UTG Drooper Scope Rail, 11mm-to-Weaver Adapter, Compensates for Droop & Stops Scope Shift" product?
And then I would use the Weaver-Style Signature Zee Rings? (Medium?)
Sounds like I could use the ring inserts in addition to the drooper rail, to do additional fine tuning of the angle.

Looks like you found it. I don't have any experience with the adjustable rings all of mine are the fixed type. I don't really get to shoot much past 25 to 35 yards so I haven't needed them. But Im sure if you used them together it would give you even more.
