Fixed the air leak and thought I fixed the reg but something happened I don't understand.  When I tighten hammer spring velocity  lowers and becomes erratic. When I loosen velocity stays stable.  Can someone explain that ,please.

Reg is probably set too low for the amount of hammer spring youre adding.

That sounds like a good place to start. Any luck getting it shooting more consistent once you raised the reg pressure?
