I swapped out the Foster fitting that I had on my Hill pump that I was using for my Marauder to the one that came with my impact X. I assumed that it will work for both the impact X and the marauder but when I hook it onto the Marauders male fitting at the end of the air tube it just leaks air when I pump.
My question is is there a fitting that is made that will work for both guns?

No they are not .... while similar and some cross attaching other makers males/females work, some DON'T cross fit at all.
As too which makes etc cross fit ... good luck on finding a list being all the knock off's are unmarked & seem only the high grade Stainless USA made one have names on them.

I've got one of the gold filter tubes. It came with a foster fitting hose, and it ONLY fits on that gold filter, it won't slip over any other male foster connection I have.
However, all my other hoses and connectors work on the male nipple on the gold filter.

Well none of that sounds good.sounds like I'll be disconnecting and reconnecting fittings every time I want to fill up a different gun
does anyone know if there's any kind of quick disconnect to separate the Foster fitting from the hose?

Ideally ...set aside a few $100 and then REPLACE all your male/females with matching fittings from the same manufacturer.
Not saying you need too ... but if a real problem it may be the short sided solution for long term happiness ???

I gotcha. Thanks Scott
I was thinking about that earlier because I deal with construction compressors and I know what you mean about changing the male fittings so everything fits.
Could you say what the process would be for removing the fitting on the front of the air tube on the marauder? Do I have to totally bleed the air out?

Now how many threads have I read that ask why use a probe, when they are so different from different guns, when all fosters are the same. Uh-Hu! LOL!
I'll just about bet I will be reading it again within the month. ;D
