I am going to purchase a Crosman 1377c pistol and want to put a BSA 2x20 scope on it and was wanting to know about the eye relief at arms length in a regular pistol stance. Will it work or should I get a red dot sight.I will be shooting between 30 and 50 feet.
-
Better off with a red dot imo.
-
I will second that. Also need steel breech to mount it on.

red dot

I have the BSA 2X20 pistol scope on my custom 1322, and it works for me. There is plenty of eye relief for normal pistol shooting stance, and I have no issues shooting at the ranges you mentioned. The only downside is that the parallax is factory set for 50 yards, although it is quite easy to adjust it yourself for the range that you shoot most often. If you are looking for fast target acquisition you ought to go with the red dot, but if you plan on more precision target work, you may want the scope. Hope this helps,
Andrew

Either one will work, but it's up to you. I have only used red dot sights on a pistol.. if I put a scope on a "pistol" it's because I made it into a carbine LOL..
-
I prefer the red dot sight on my 1377 as well. Easy target acquisition and you really don't need magnification for the distances that these pistols can shoot with accuracy.

What is the best red dot sight to get between a crosman and a daisy at Pyrymyd Air.

A bit more than the red dots you listed, but more quality with this one.

These guys are HEAVY into these guns. Lots of guys turn them into carbines and scope them. To me, that doesn't make sense, may as well have bought a 2100 Classic.
I've got one of these on the way too, with the shoulder stock and a bunch of different pellets.

to me
the 1377 is more accurate than a 2100

The make pretty nifty rifles. Mine has a .22 caliber 2260 barrel and is more accurate than my 2200

But they're good pistols too. This one is also a .22
