Title: Bulldog owners..what bullet do you like?

I am thinking of getting a bulldog for my son as he loves the look of them.I have a Recluse and a badger with a 357 swap barrel...not good enough for him though.lol he just likes the bulldog!!My ? is....what bullets do you guys like the most?Im asking cause I have 357 molds but I know this guns a 1-14 twist so my rounds may not work with great accuracy so Im putting a new mold in the equation aswell.

I like the Nielsen Specialty Ammo 142gr. I have also used that same slug, but asked them to make it 130gr, which was also very good. These both fit the magazine.

As I have not got into casting quite yet, I can't comment on those, although there are a few around here having good success that may respond soon, or you can search the forum.

I use Hikalbigbore.com 150GR Anvil .358 slugs for hunting and I also cast lee 125gr .358 and 150gr .358 slugs. Nielson is supposed to have some great slugs as well. If you don't plan on souping it up, I would stick with 120gr and lighter.

A neighbor has a Bulldog and he is shooting the NSA 110 gr and told me it is excellent in his unmodified rifle. Other than that he's shooting the JSB pellets.

I have a Pitbull / Bulldog and it is shooting less than an inch, every group, at 50 yards with the 110gr. Since the Pitbull is so modified power wise I think most of what I'm shooting is too heavy for just a Bulldog.

I also have some slugs from Carl that seem promising. Need some warmer weather before I can group them better though.

I know the gun has a high twist rate so Im wondering about some heavy slugs.I can throw about any out my Badger with the 357 barrel and for him...he wont shoot over 40 yards ,50 tops so the drop wont be that big of a issue.Maybe I can kill 2 birds with one stone.lol. anyone tryed some of Bobs boat tails?The 135 gr?

Find a slug that is as long as possible and will still shoot around 900 fps with your gun. That will likely shoot the best with the high twist rate on the Bulldog.
