I finally got my hands on a FWB 300S, from a local guy at my gun chub that made it easy. It's not often for me to be able to buy a airgun in person, most purchases have been on line, a &^^& shoot.
Now to the gun it's in fair shape for a 42 year old gun, the gent I got it from bought it used from Beeman in San Rafael back in the early 90s and took very good care of it. The stock could do with a refinish but the blueing is great. It is very accurate but the spring twang has to go. Compared to my FWB 603 accuracy on par but the shot cycle and spring noise not good. I'm sure with a good tune the spring twang will go away, I hope. Anyway the first shot string and pics.

Thanks I think I did good for a local purchase, no waiting for the brown truck and worrying about damage. For $500.00 I seen a lot worse paid more for.

Thank nice looking 300 you have there. I took the barrel weight shroud off mine now I'm looking for a nice muzzle brake and a short scope.

Hi Royale, Another congratulations to you for a great score! Nothing shoots like and FWB 300S, with or without scratches on the stock! I feel the same way as the others, it's one of my favorite rifles and one I'll keep.

Thanks Will I just mounted a Leupold VX-Freedom EFR 3-9x33 on it tonight and got it dialed in. I really like this 300 with the small Leupold scope fits the gun and my needs great. I need to get it tuned but I can't stop shooting the thing so much fun.

Don't know if I can, such a nice chunk of wood begs to be brought back into the light.

That is AAA grade zebra striped walnut. I don't know the condition but that's the grade.

That looks like a Beeman Scope from San Rafael too.
And the diopter sight is something I wish we could still buy today for a price.
Or can we? Wouldn't they also fit HWs?

Belies it is indeed a genuine Beeman blue line scope.
The FWB 300S rear sight is kind of unique and the top of the guns mounting point has "reliefs" cut in the for the rear dioptler sights pinch bolt.
I have a Beeman AR2078-B rear sight that was modified to fit.
Originals come up on eBay time to time but are pricey.

That is a great looking stock....!! Traded in my Scoped R-7 years ago in Atlanta and never regretted the upgrade to the 300 S. Always one of my favorites to shoot.
