Hi, I have seen a Texan SS, indeed a powerfull air rifle. Does somebody know if the 480 ccm bottle is changable against a bigger one, like 1.000 ccm?
Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, as long as the valve threads fit (and the shoulder of the tank does not hit/interfere with the frame of the rifle) any size bottle can be fitted. But a larger bottle will make the gun larger and effect the balance. There are people who have adapted 68cuin paintball bottles which gives not only more air but also more plenum size. But the rifles valve is designed for 3000 PSI (and the hammer spring too) and you get valve lick using more pressure than that unless you modify 'stuff' to compensate.
Note I swapped my Air Force aluminium tank for a TalonTunes carbon fiber tank.

Doug Noble uses a larger dia. tank at 4500 psi and builds custom reg's for them. His handle here is Dyotat100
I have a 4500 psi bottle and custom spring and hammer and can shoot the NOE 84 gr bullets at well over a grand and is an excellent long range shooter. I fill to 36-3700 psi.

I was not going to mention Doug because last night he told me that he is working so much on his regular job he doesn't have time to do much in the shop and from other stuff he said I took that to mean he would not be taking on new work for a bit.

Thank you very much lads !
So I guess this will fit ?

The 500cc fit beautifully as the OD us around 50mm or 2 inches.
I am not sure what the OD on that tank is and it may (or not) interfere with the triangular rear end of the frame. Most guys I've seen with larger tanks had an extension adapter but they were using even larger tanks than what you are showing.
Answer: Maybe.
But if not, then you have a nice pony bottle for field fills.

I think that is the same size bottle Carl uses on his texan. I rhink he had 1L bottle on it. Search for rifle50 and you should find his posts.
