Title: Trail NP .22 first nutter of the season.....what a MESS lol
Post by: redsoxvw on August 18, 2010, 02:59:13 PM
Well, I was on Daddy duty today, and my lil one went down for a nap around 10:30a.m, I figure I was solid for an hour and a half or so. So Im sitting on the back deck, and her the good ole CHATTER box.....I load a Benjamin 14.13gr hollow point in the Trail NP.

Now its "sit and wait" time.Well it didnt take long before she came barreling down the tree. So now Im lining everything and following her through the trees. No clear shot....

Finally she jumps from one tree to the next and is 37yds out. She was facing nose down, and was ready to hit the ground into the deep brush. I knew she would have been gone once she hit the brush, so as she was nosing down she made it to a clear spot on the tree.

So I made a little chirp and she froze facing down. I lined up, took DEEP BREATH...and put the cross hairs right on her PUMPKIN and squeezed.....all I could hear was the THUD. It looked like she spread eagle instantly and just dropped.

I walked out to where she was, and she was LEAKING something fierce, I look up in the tree and there is LIFE juice everywhere LOL, as she hit the bushes below there was tons of the RED STUFF

I couldnt believe it from 37yds, I checked with the range finder, than used a "dang" tape measure and sticks LOL. i didnt think the Trail NP would make that much steam

Here is where she started out, in the red, I froze her at the green X

great story!  and for the record, the benjamin 14.3 grain hollow points, are identicle and exactly the same as crossman premier hollow points.  you can likely pick them up at local wally world, and save you the shipping.

Thanks for that...This I didnt know. What stinks is my wally dont even have any AG's on display. And only carry .177. Shoot, I went to DIcks sporting goods, and they only carried .177. (but sold a couple .22 rifles LOL)......

Im in the air gun free death zone over here in TAXACHUSETTS LOL. No matter what, I have to order or trade.......But thanks for the info definitly Good to Know.............Eric

i've been told by numerous sources, including crosman, that they are cast on the same moulds, and just dumped into different painted/printed tins.  if you compare the tins, they are indeed the same.
