Today is the 7th anniversary of my death and rebirth.... For those of you who don't know, I had a Cardiac Arrest on Dec. 30, 2011 and was dead for 10 minutes.... My wife Diane, our neighbours, and the AED she had purchased for the Motel when we opened it in 2008 brought me back....
I guess it really isn't a $1500 shelf ornament, huh ?!?!?

Happy B day Bob.
Believe it or not, I had a doing in designing and manufacturing the wire that goes into the coils for those defibrillators.
Boy, I bet that puts you mind at rest.... ;D
Here's another piece of awesome work on an implantable one. I actually visited this company in Germany while designing an MP35n 4 wire pacing lead a bunch years back.

Every time I hear success stories, it typically brings tears to my eyes.
Congrats and keep going sir.

My wife and I went down to Bellevue WA to give a talk to the staff at Phillips, who made ours.... I guess they like to see such success stories too.... I have an ICD/pacemaker now, have had since that happened.... and all it has ever done is monitor me.... no pacing and no shocks required.... The Drs. still don't know exactly what happened.... It wasn't a heart attack, no damage, no blockages.... just a complete electrical failure, like somebody turned off a switch....
Now that I have my own built in jumper cables.... hopefully I'm good to go if it ever happens again.... *LOL*….

Happy Re-Birthday Bob. We are quite honored and blessed to have you here as a GTA family member. And glad you're still with us and contributing to the entire airgun community!!!!
GOD Bless

When you wake up in the morning after fifty fifty odds making it through the night, it gets you thinking if you are truly happy with your life.
Changed a lot in short order to find that happiness.
Every morning is a fresh start, to see the world in a grain of sand.
Happy second life Bob!

Glad you're back Bob. I appreciate your patience and effort you take teaching us.

Bob-, Sir,.,., Every body is helped by you
I am so glad you're still with us and contributing to the entire airgun community!!
The patience and effort you take/make is an inspiration that
ALL should see and try to understand.
We do love you, I hope it shows, some days at least!!!!
Yes finding yourself out of control of your life can be, lets just say
More than an eye opener.
The best part is getting to open them
every day !
I'm past 34 years since,
"if he lives,he will be in a vegetable state"
That is all I remember from the first couple weeks of being
what felt like "trapped" in the hospital
Totally NOT understanding
How bad of shape I was/had been in but,
some how lived thru.
But things happen I guess.
Again I THANK YOU for being the best of us, please
Continue to lead the way.

Happy 7th Birthday Bob, Your a Smart Kid, think up some Good NEW Powerful Stuff for Crosman PCPs. Welcome Back Sir & God Bless.....Franky
-
Bob,
Enjoy your happiest seventh ever!
-
Hey Bob,
Looks like I'm about 4 months late on this one :P.
I wondered how you got so smart, whipping up all that PCP magic ... after passing for 10 Min :o.
Instead of having brain damage, you were equipped with a new head and Darth helmet to contrast with your blue fur.
The GTA should probably thank your Wife for the makeover.
Best Regards,
Spiralgroove ;D

Oh, pardon me sir! I didn't notice that the O.P. was 2018. You'll be a teenager soon. The next thing you know, you'll want a Red Rider!
Hunter
-
Wow, didnt know about this.
Great to have been able to get tidbits of your generous knowledge.
-
Wow Bob!
Congratulations.
You have accomplished so much in the past 10 years. It really made me think about how much you've meant to our community and how an individual can do so much when they put their mind to it.
Also, you've used your time as you've wanted to, i.e., teach and explore new directions in air gunning.
We are so lucky to have you. And it sounds like you too have been lucky to get the chance to do all the things you do.
Again, Congratulations!!!!!

Well, I am now officially Bob 2.10.... It was 10 years ago today that I died and thanks to my wife, neighbours, and our AED, ten minutes later I got a new kickstart in life!....

So far I have outlived the battery in my first ICD (Implanted Cardiac Defibrillator) and it has been replaced.... and better yet, I have never needed it to shock me again....

I think we may need a permission slip signed by your parents for you to be on this forum champ LOL.
-
Happy Birthday Bob! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. Can't tell you how many hours I've spent reading them over the last 7 years.
-
Bob, I did not know that. I'm glad you are still with us. And you are a huge asset to the GTA and other airgun forums. I have benefited tremendously from your advice and your shared information on everything technical about airguns. I have put much of that information to good use in my airgun endeavors.
Thank you,
Scott Hull
