well after the leaky valve Tim set me up and got my valve sealed and i also ordered a Integramount and now shes back in action
It is shooting Cp's at 873 FPS on 14 pumps
Bipod folds forward and Is out of the way while pumping, It is going to be a perfect Deck sniper and Woodchuck rig.

Looks great... I wanna find a mount like that for my Silver Streak, know where I can find one?
-
Bro, I like that a lot.
Richard
-
That is one sweeet set-up!
-
Nice looking set up Josh, should last a life time of use. The Harris looks to be set to fold back, does that leave enough hand room for pumping?
S.S.T not positive but I think PA carries that mount? I have been lucky an found the older Sheridan mounts they use to make for sale(2 times now), but they make better mounts for a "scout" set up than the traditional scope set like these.
-
I believe that scope mount is a Mac-1 item.
-
the bipod i have set to fold forward
and the mount is a mac1 he makes them they contact ONLY the barrel and not the tube so there is no chance of bbl seperation unless you really whack the scope
i am shooting the eunjins at 661 FPS now she is a powerhouse
-
What internal mods?
-
mac1 steroid treatment
-
Hey, crow_
Looks good!
Which Eun Jin (which weight, I mean), and how many pumps to get her up to 661?
With either of the Eun Jin heavyweights, that's good power :)

Very nice ! What grs are the CP's ?
-
28 grain eunjins and 14.3 cp's
-
Hope mine shoots better than 810 fps with 14.3 gr benjs next time I try the crony. Maybe its the shape not sure what a cp looks like. Thanks.
-
Now that is a true thing of beauty! nice rig.

That's a nice setup.
I've got a Mac1 Steroid with a different scope setup.
One question. How do you hold it when you pump?
-
Here's my Steroid 392.
-
I hold it to pump right on the "grip" area where you hold to shoot it
I have always held my pumpers there with no pumping issues
well i found tonight that this thing LOVES JSB 18 grainers
i didnt get to chrony battery went dead and didnt have a spare (forgot to turn off last time LOL)
but I was hitting the tiny Chicken on the swing bar of my gamo trap
all i did was string the Animals in the tree with kevlar string and shoot them there they work great for that
-
Ok. If you hold it on the grip doesn't that put a lot of stress on that one bolt holding the stock?
-
it may i dont know really but i am not going to hold the scope and risk seperating the barrel from the tube
it seems on when i pump it
i think i will email tim and ask his opinion on this
-
Let me know what he says, please.
-
Never thought about Crowpoppers being .22 cal. Mine being a Sheridan .20 Steroid will be a few fps slower.
-
Hey crowpopper, how does that integramount setup work? Is it a better mount option than say the air venturi and weaver rail from pyramid?
-
i like it. looks like a nice all day chipper shooting gun. might have to look into one in the future
-
Very nice
-
Nice Setup......
-
With being laid off and economy like it is thinking of putting my .20 cal Steroid in the classifieds. Will get another machinist job at a lower pay soon,in the mean time what would be a fair asking price? It is like brand new with peep and Steroid stock mod. You know they will cost you around $340 + ship new from Mac
Jerry
-
MAC1's website has this price stated: Benjamin 392 w/ Extended Billet Steroid $285.00.
Minus the peep site.
-
Thats right add $30 for the peep installed and fitted and $30 ship = $345.
-
I think it's an old price list.
I paid $315 for an Extended Billet Steroid .
$345 with a peep sight.
-
That looks GREAT!
-
All this talk has me back in the market for one lol!
-
Beautiful! I love it!
-
what is the name of the bipod you used on the benjamin? i am looking to put one like that on mine.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to say thanks, I was considering bipoding my 392 as well and your pics confirmed my placement. Any issues so far with this set up?
Here is a look at my set up. The old military tripod is an awesome scope setter and rifle tester, but a bit clunky to carry while hunting.
-
That looks really nice.
I have 4-5 Sheridans that I am selling . See the classifieds.

The Integramount looks like the best option to me.

Is that the Integramount that you have on yours?
-
In the original post, I do not think so. In my post the attached pic, yes. I love that base. The only thing I would change is i would have put on a longer scope. The bug buster is nice, but if I had a longer scope I could have had rings that allow my do use both scope and iron sights.
Here is a close up of my mount. Also a link to where I got it, not a bad deal for a serious pumper. https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/benjamin-392-397-pellet-rifle/ (https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/benjamin-392-397-pellet-rifle/)
But I will say that you have to put some work into the gun before it shoots well.
-
Yes RG, I was looking at yours.
That setup looks just like what I want for my old Streak.
I like the short scope, but I might try something a little smaller, maybe an old 3/4" if I could find a deal on a good one, so I could mount it in low rings. I don't care about using the sights if I had say a 2-7 power that would cover short to medium range.

Low rings might not work out unless you modify the bolt and remove the rear iron sight. I had to use 21mm saddle height rings to get the bolt not to run into the scope. But with one of those 3/4" scopes you might have the clearance. If I had not just got my scope dialed in I would slap my Apache 510-4x scope on there just to see if it worked. Let us know if it works.

Or you could scout mount a pistol scope like so...

This idea has intrigued me, but being primarily a squirrel gun I wanted to have the extra zoom (most pistols are 2x instead of the 9x I have), when you are going out to 45yards, that extra glass does make a difference.
-
Both are 4x. A Simmons & a Swift. Works well up to 50 yds.

4...nice. I will really consider that if I ever get the 397 (but for that I am really leaning towards the williams peep sight.
-
I went ahead and Bi-podded mine as well yesterday. It really does make a difference.
