Does anyone know if the barrel band that comes on the Gauntlet .25 can be used on the .22? From pictures, it looks like it might attach to, or be part of, the drop block on the .25, so I doubt it would work without modding the .22. Maybe would even require cutting a notch on the front of the stock?

I just left home otherwise I would be able to comment on the stock modification for the barrel band, but it appears to me that the barrel band itself is not just slipped over the drop block but it is a part of the drop block. Like it's machined in.

So, besides the stock issue, I wonder if the .25 drop block will work on earlier Gauntlets; and if it can be bought anywhere if it does...

Last time I tried ordering parts directly from umarex for the gauntlet they stated that they aren't selling parts for them at this time. That was 6 months ago.
As far as fitting it to an earlier model I believe it can be done. But I can measure them to be 100% sure. They looks nearly identical on size and fitment.

I'm curious to know also. Sent an Email to Umarex regarding the availability of this item, and of course, they went silent. You can hear crickets....... You would think that they would at LEAST have the decency to reply with SOME kind of response, wouldn't ya ?? Maybe I was just brought up in a different era where that courtesy was a given. Please let us fellow Gauntlet owners know if you are able to determine anything. Thanks.

The barrel band is a trick piece. It screws to the tank block with 1 screw.

Ahhhhhh. That makes sense. I never saw the screw because I never looked through the hole in the top of the barrel band when the shroud wasn't through it.

LIKE that...seems a good solution.
Doesn't matter with the caliber/bore size is....doens't matter that the barrel diameter is...it fits around the shroud, so unless the shroud diameter changes between .177/.22/.25...that barrel band (nad matching tank block) should work.

Mike,
Thanks for the info! But looks like unless you have the means of modifying the older blocks, you'd have to get both pieces to use on the older Gauntlets. Also, could you post a pic of the stock where the barrel band protrudes?
