Title: Xisco sentry PCP questions
Post by: Sbak on December 19, 2018, 12:38:57 PM
I just noticed that flying dragon has their sentry 702 and 705 HC prototypes on sale for around $200. I'm thinking that might be a great buy to get a 3000 psi platform for a big bore build. I was wondering what the stock hammer weight and travel length is. If anyone has increased the stroke length what were you able to get it up too? Also, if anyone has the breach inside diameter measurements that would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: One more thing, any ideas what the difference is between the 702 and the HC 705?

Thanks,
Shane

I got a full power tune from Mike.  The 702 in .25.

903 fps with H&N FTT, 896 With 25 gr. Peak.

I don’t know that the sentry would be what you want to consider if a big bore is what you are going for.

The 705 is much quieter from what I’ve heard as it has a non removable ldc.

I’d have to know what the air capacity is before jumping in on the big bore . Anything less than 250cc is probably too small. IMO

It just depends on what you are after. My father's HPA qb 357 has about 180cc from what I remember. 5 shots @ 185 fpe and 3 @ 200 fpe. Plenty for hunting. Just scaling  pictures the sentry has at a minimum 200 cc and closer to 250. I'm just looking for a 3000 psi platform on the cheap so I can skip on biulding hpa tubes

The difficulty is getting enough hammer energy out of the cheaper pcp offering s
