Title: Scope ring height ?
Post by: JimR on December 04, 2018, 11:15:04 AM
Are all scope rings the same measurement from brand to brand ? i.e. all  high profile the same from Leapers or Hawke or others ?

Nope.....I noticed that the ring height of a two piece BKL medium mount was about 1/16" higher than a UTG medium mount.
I tend to keep my scopes as low as possible to the receiver and years ago when I had a Bushnell Trophy scope and UTG medium mount I needed to cut a strip out of the front lens cover so it be installed. When I tried out a medium two piece BKL mount there was enough clearance between the R9 receiver and lens cover that there was "no cutting a slot" needed.

NOPE!  ???  You have to go to each manufacturers website and get the dimensions.  The you should do a "mock-up", figure out how long a clamping area there is one you scope and the height.  I once was trying to mount a scope on a one piece mount and the bottom of the scopes saddle just bottomed out on the center section of the one piece.  A very strong, NO GO. :-[
