Title: Need FWB 90 help-uncock with no battery-GOOD NEWS
Post by: bavaria55n on November 30, 2018, 08:19:30 PM
Picked up an FWB 90. No instructions. It is cocked and there is no battery in it.
Can it be fired to release the spring pressure without a battery? Would it be easy for someone with NO experience / part diagram to do?
Thanks,
Gary

First step. Google "fwb 90 manual".   It will take you to the FWB site where you can download the manual for the pistol.  According to that, changing the battery involves removing the left side grip panel.

I know nothing more than that.  I am sure someone will jump in with much more knowledge.

Thanks, I checked the manual and have a battery on the way but would like to decock the gun until it shows up.

Was hoping there was a way to release the piston manually. Any ideas?

I thought I read once, you could run something small up along next to the trigger and trip the sear?  I have never seen one in the flesh.  I would shoot David Slade a message, he has the factory training on many of these Beeman/FWB,

I doubt leaving it cocked for a few days will be a problem.  Just be careful when you get it working to load the pellet as the first step and then attempt to decock and shoot it into a safe target.  DO NOT dry fire.

Thanks for the lead. I shot him an email.
If nothing else i will wait on the battery.
Thanks,

Good news, battery arrived, put it in and it shoots.
It is 12 degrees today so may be awhile before I spend much time shooting but it is working now.
Thanks,
Gary
