but none of the ones I checked out had the reticle types listed, or minimum focus distance......

They appear to be a vendor (factory and probably design house) used by other companies.

Many so called manufacturers are really just resellers that sometimes design (often simply specify) and sell scopes under their own names. If you order a bunch from SAM Electrical, you can probably specify your own feature set and even have your own brand label added.

The main thing that the resellers provide is brand recognition, hopefully (not always) some QC, access to individual purchases, and a warranty.
