Title: should have done my homework..........
Post by: desertplinker on November 26, 2018, 03:54:18 PM
sitting around snow outside can't shoot. Too much time searching airgun stuff and hey.... a new pellet to try. Webley Accupells FT. if they say FT must be accurate. order two very expensive tins from jolly old England just to find out they are Crosman Premiers. Don't have them yet, who knows!?!?!?!

If they weigh 8.64 grains like it's marked on the label they aren't Crosman premiers. Most likely they are rebadged H&N FTTs but I'm only guessing.........

Agreed, both the weight and the shape match H&N Field Target Trophy.

Granted, they may have their own dies so I wouldn’t be surprised if you compared them to a tin of FTTs (of same 4.52mm head diameter) and found a difference in how they group.  However the same is true of 2 “identical” tins of FTT made a few months apart.

Webley claims one specific distinction of applying Napier’s Pellet Lube but my guess is there’s about a 50/50 chance your barrel will prefer one over the other.  Oh, and if you were to buy another tin of each 6 months from now, they have an equal probability of swapping places.

It’s pretty much the same thing between JSB and Air Arms, and between H&N Baracuda and Beeman Kodiaks.

I like were it says "probably the world's most accurate airgun ammo". Kind of leaves the backdoor open. 😁
