Gary
-
Good to know Gary, looking forward to the shoot.
-
I'm in with a new AA S500. 1st PCP. Trying to set it up now to find the sweet spot and the right power level for pellet weight. Looking forward to it. From Gary2
-
I invited another AA S500 shooter I met on the AA Forum from Indiana Jake (JPIP). He is about an hour from the border. If his daughter does not have a softball tournament he may join us.Not too many replies so far! I'm ready.
-
Gents,
Count Austin and myself there..... I invited a friend to come and join us as well....
Can't wait to see all you guys again and get some fun shootin' in!
Dave T.
-
I may be able to jump in on this one. I'll have to check my daybook, lol/jk. i'll see what i can do. Only problem is: I dont really have any rare, exceptional, or expensive airguns to bring that most people haven't already seen, besides a $400.00 > 1377(1322 actually) pistol/carbine.
J.Austin
-
Well GLAD everyone is up for another Fun Shoot, LOOKING FORWARD to seeing everyone an Yes bring all the friends you want. Joshua please try and make it Bro., maybe bring a couple of grips for us to fondle an drool on and believe me no one cares what you bring to shoot, we are not what you would call a "serious" group in any form or fashion(Well except for Dead-Eye Darryl).
-
OOOH! OOOH! Me too!! I'm in! I just hope I remember to bring a hat! ;D I'll see if Young Aaron can make it. No clown shoes this time either. But I may wear my Buster Browns! :o
Jay, same time (not that we stand on ceremony)? Who has the video camera covered?
Edit: Aaron says he hopes to make it and asked if he could bring his lady friend. I told him it would be fine.
BTW, do you guys know that Jay and Gary corrupted me to the Dark Side? Yeah, it's true. My P-rod is "out for delivery" today! ;D (pssst! hey Gary, could you bring your hand pump?)
-
Well Ol'Dead Eye Darryl is in an running a new P-rod setup(now he will never miss a target).
I believe we will start at same time as always guy's, at around 9:30am I'll be there waiting on ya at edge of camp grounds(think everyone knows its location but Joshua, I'll PM ya Bro.), the day will sadly end when the last person rolls up their gear to go home.
-
I will add the pump to the rest of the junk I pack in the car just for you Darryl. I just love to see a man workin, as long as it's not me.
Gary
-
Well Me and Chase will not ba able to make this shoot either :(....
Chase leaves the 17th for Scouts summer camp and doesnt get back till sometime in the afternoon on the 23rd
-
Well Rat waste!!! That bites again MJ didn't know (going to send you a PM).
-
tough break Mike. Hello to Chase for me.
-
BTW, anyone interested in buying a youth-rifle? I've got a Xisico XS-16/.22 with synthetic stock. $50.00 cheap. I've got pictures posted in the classifieds here.
-
Darryl,
I'm gonna step-up and say "nope" this time.... my buys from ya have been great; but, I don't think I can wrangle another through the front door without some hard explainin' ta do with the Missus!...hehehhe
Dave T.
-
Now Dave,
You know collecting airguns is like Jello. There's always room! ;D Seriously, no worries. I look forward to catching up with you again. Glad you and Austin are coming.
Darryl T
-
Just givin' ya a hard time.... seems like everytime I come to a meet; I wind up takin' home one of your guns!..... hehehehehe
Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Dave T.
-
No Harm Dave,
Look at my signature. It' shrinking!!! :o I've got almost nothing left (better hurry!)
-
Just one thing to figure out guys an thats do we want to cookout, or do like we did last time an bring/go get a lunch? CAST YOUR VOTE'S.
-
Weather i will be there or not is not completely set in stone yet, but I have a couple airgun requests. If anyone coming has a Mac1 LD pistol, or a Steroid 392 please bring them. I've been dying to test either one of them out. One day i will likely own both....hopefully!
J.Austin
-
Hope you can make it Josh.
-
Bring your own worked last time and is less work in the heat but I am not adverse to a cookout
-
You know GaryII your right it will be HOT at this shoot. SO EVERYONE BRING YOUR LUNCH or we will go an get one. We will have a cookout in the Fall when the weather is better.
-
I concur. Bring me my lunch!!..er...I mean I'll bring me my lunch
-
Sounds like a plan to me. Lets see now , bring to the shoot, lunch, pump for Darryl, ammo, targets ,chrony,....aaaaa, I'm forgetting something, O ya I remember now, bring Tracy. That's it I got my list and it's saved right here.So all I need to do is check this thread and I'll have everything I need.
Gary
PS: targets
Post it notes
-
Yeah, don't forget Tracy. I need to see him shoot wit open sights again. But blasphemy of blasphemies: I scoped the P-rod!! Sorry guys!
-
Dang it Gary, DON'T FORGET YOUR GUN'S (AGAIN), do I need to get Dorothy to stick another post-it on your forehead, been sticking mine to bathroom mirror(can't read them when their backwards), Darryl "maybe" you can find the rootbeer stand this time(although that Rallys burger sure was GOOD). 4 days an a wake up gent's, an I'll see you there.
-
Thanks Jay , I knew there was something else. I will now go and modify the list and add postit notes. LOL
Gary
-
You guys! ;D
-
what is the zip code of the town where the shoot is? I'd like to see how many miles, and how long it'll take for me from the youngstown/canton, OH area.
-
I don't know the zip code but do a search for Middletown Sportsman Club or just use Middletown Oh. and that will give you a good idea of the distance.
Gary
-
45042. http://www.middletownsportsmensclub.com/ (http://www.middletownsportsmensclub.com/) It's about 226 miles: http://www.ask.com/web?q=how%20many%20miles%20from&askid=f18fe021-5206-4ebd-8f9a-764a37b56b3e-0-us_gsb&qsrc=999&o=102268&l=dir (http://www.ask.com/web?q=how%20many%20miles%20from&askid=f18fe021-5206-4ebd-8f9a-764a37b56b3e-0-us_gsb&qsrc=999&o=102268&l=dir)
Get an early start! :D
-
That is a LONG trip Bro., if you wear out I can offer the couch at my place for you to stay the night? Just know(in case of allerge) that the house is controlled by 3 cat's, with two weighing in at 20lbs+(third just reg Ol'cat), just let me know ahead if you can.
Now to let EVERYONE KNOW, it will be in the mid 90s on Saturday with very high humidity to help it along(heat index around 102+) so if you have a shade canopy you can bring I would highly suggest it, plus you will make LOTS of friends from us hiding under it LOL.......Jay
-
I better get a hat on this thing! :o
-
Darryl I'm SORRY Bro., but I don't think they make hat's that big??? I do have a golf umbrella an a belt that we could try an make one of those funny hat thing's with(the belt is only for 42" waist will that fit around Your noggin?).
-
Oh man!! :o That's cuttig deep Jay; making fun of a man's affliction and putting me on Front street too!! :D Just for that crack...well I'll come up with something! :D
-
Will bring a 10x10 pop up. It will help some. Also a couple of field targets etc.
-
Let's just have Jay hold up light bulbs! ;D If he won't do that, then we can use your pop-up target, Gary
-
Hey now. Jay is fearless so lets not be giving him any ideas.
Just twomore wakeups and it's on.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and thier new shooters.
Gary
-
same-same. ;)
-
Looking forward to it myself Gary!!!! Awww come on Darryl light bulbs? Thats way to big of a target, how about matchs, now that sounds fun.
BRING FLUIDS GUY's it will be a hot one this time!!! An keep your fingers crossed the rain holds off that they are showing here.
-

-
I wish I could come up and hang out with you yanks but I would be outnumbered and beside you guys don't have any grits up there LOL!!!! Thanks David
Grits?! We've got grits! Biscuits, gravy, and home made jam. I live in Porkopolis where bacon is considered the state bird (flying pigs). David, my friend, you would feel right at home in the Buckeye state. Heat and all! ;D Remember this: airguns are the ties that bind. ;)
-
you got pinto beans and cornbread to??? David
-
Us Yankees aren't as backwards as you think. We have pintos, navy, or well you name it beans we got um and Jay's wife knows how to cook. Might have to sweet talk her a bit but she can cook.
David, the only thing that seperates us yankees and you rebs is a little creek. Come on up the waters fine.
Gary
-
Also, we eat so many beans here, the EPA declared us partially responsible for global warming! :o
Ya know, it really would be nice if moderators could get around to some of the meets. But we'll post a video, I'm sure.
-
Brother David you come up an I will have Pat make us some soup beans with big Ol' chunks of ham along with 2 or 3 skillets of different cornbread(from reg. too "Ol'Lordy thats spicy") that will make your tongue slap your face off!!! Got to remember David we are in southern Ohio 95% of us swam across the river here, we just had to buy(borrow?) shoes so we could fit in alittle better once we got here, consider us the led force for taking over the north LOL.
An ya know Bro. you an your wife are always WELCOME to stay with Pat & me, no need to even ask, just knock on the door(heck if you can wear 9 1/2 shoes you can borrow mine).
-
Jay means those red clown shoes he keeps for guests! ;D
-
Rocker1 My daughter is in Fayetville NC. Her hubby is at Eort Bragg. Will be deployed in Oct. Only a 8-9 hr drive
-

-
Clock's tickin...
-
Well a last minute turn of events puts me showing up with a guest here on the forum named gearsandguns who lives up in troy.... Chase wont be able to make it as he will be at camp and not coming home till sometime in the afternoon but I will be able to make an apperance after all
-
Jay, Already to go and packed up and my wife encouraged me to not go due to health reasons.Doctors say I am to avoid extreme heat or cold. So I guess she is right. I guess I will have to unpack darn it. I was so looking forward to today. I am sure to make it in the Fall when it is cooler. If it was closer I would try to beat the heat. Sorry!
-
Sorry to hear that Gary, but we all understand completely Brother on the health issue's with the heat we will be in today(I'm not looking forward to it myself, I likey my AC), you take care of yourself an we will see all your new toys this fall. WILL MISS SEEING YOU TODAY THOUGH!!!
-
Trapshooter we did miss you but I am sure your wife made a very good call. Hot it was. We had three new guys. 12 was the total head count so we are growing. I think that is a good thing. I think I have cooked my brain,or at least what is left.
Gary
-
Trapshooter,
+1 on what Gary said above.... Would have been nice to have your company again; but, it was a HOT one out there today! Believe you did make a good call on sitting this one out, 'cause it pushed all of us to our limits today. Hope to see you there next time!
Dave T.
-
To the rest of the group,
As usual, another great shoot today, albeit a wet (humid) one!
Jay,
As usual thanks for taking on the host role for shoot #4. We had fun, both shooting (which we did little of) and shooting the bull with all the others (which it seemed we did a LOT of)... hehehehe... Once again, thanks for getting everything together for us to enjoy today and have a fun day with everyone!
Michael, Darryl, Gary1, Tracy, Aaron, Greg (I believe) and others' names I most likely have forgotten....
Thanks for adding to the fun of the day, and giving us the open invitation to hold and shoot any of the guns you gents had there! Always enjoy the camaraderie of the group, and once again, you gents didn't let us down ....
Steve,
Your the one I want to single out this time.... Letting me shoot your Daystate was a BAAADDD thing to do! I have a feeling that that gun will be the object of my thoughts for the next few days and nights! Reinforced my AG addiction... Wanted to throw another "thanks" in there for sharing that beast with us!... and once again, it was nice to meet you and look forward to seeing you at the next shoot!
All in all, even though conditions were rough, I think we had a blast out there today,
Dave T.
-
+1 for what Dave said. Great group of guys, and some great airguns. It was the place to be, though that heat was vicious.
Bad news. I failed in capturing the meet on my little i-pod. I guess the heat made me dopey. I could not believe it.
Special thanks to Gary and Jay for helping me sort out the P-rod and the Scout. Some tuning and some expert sighting-in for sure.
We should take Tracy up on his offer to have a meet at his place. Lots of shade, he said. ;)
Well, I've been soaking in a tub of cool water, and now I feel human again. 8)
-
Thanks for thinking of me. I wasn't sure I made the right call but I guess my wife made the right call. Would give anything to see and shoot that Daystate. Having trouble with my Shoebox so I am back to Springers until I can get things sorted out. You can count on me for the Fall. Good wishes from Chillicothe.
-
We sure did miss ya GaryII, but believe me the HEAT kicked all our butts, think we gabbed more than shot LOL.
Guy's THANK EVERYONE FOR ANOTHER GREAT TIME and can't wait for #5, we are growing each time with more shooters(we would of been at 15 shooter's if all had made it this time).
To Steve(gearsanguns) everyone says Thanks for letting us get our grubby hand's on your sweet Daystate!!!!!
-
Jay, sure glad your Fun Shoot turned out good. They are always fun and I love meeting new peeple and playin wiff there bb guns...:)
For sure each year brings in new faces and more fish stories:) Guess David and me are gonna have to make it up there one day. But first we will have to ship some food to live on. Grits, pinto beans, cornbread, hog head cheese and stuff to make some southern low counttry boil.
Yankee's don't eat right....:)

darryl
GaryII It was best you sat this one out. The heat was blazing, and melting pellets in their tins. :o :o I lost ten pounds (well not all of it water. Good old Taco Bell!!) :P
-
Thanks Guys!
-
LOL Mr.Gene as I told David you all are always WELCOME in my house, as for food all you need to bring is your own grits(I can't stand grits,it don't even make good chicken feed) and as for hog head cheese not positive but I think that came out of Wisconson?
-
Due to the heat, I had a bad day taking video and pictures. But ONLY these two survived ;):
-
Jay I think you are mistaken..:) Limburger Cheese come from Wisconsin... hehe
LOL Mr.Gene as I told David you all are always WELCOME in my house, as for food all you need to bring is your own grits(I can't stand grits,it don't even make good chicken feed) and as for hog head cheese not positive but I think that came out of Wisconson?
-
Good Lord! You can SEE the humidity in those photos!!
Darryl,
Wish those videos would have made it through... would have been nice to watch!
Dave T.
-
Believe me Dave, I am nothing but sorry I didn't do a better job. I thought I was capturing some good video of a great meet. I was expecting to put Austin on You Tube! :-[
-
LOL, You did catch me when I waved(HEY everyone on the GTA), Your right on the humidity Dave an that was when we first rolled in at 9:30am, no wonder we were steam cooked an ready to give up so soon.
Mr.Gene I give you my word Bro. you an David roll on up an I promise you will be feed well(good lord what have I said it must take a grand a week to feed Mr.Gene alone) but ya still got to bring your own nasty Grits at least the mixen's. I'll even toss in a biscuit, gravy an pork chop breakfast with a dinner of string beans with baby taters an chunks of lean ham with corn bread an fixen's on the side, by the way didn't you live most your life on the west coast? If so remind me to tell you the joke on the difference between a Yankee an a "dang" Yankee that was told to me while I lived in the south.
-
I'm glad you guys liked me Daystate...I had a real good time, great meeting you all. I can't wait till the next one!
Steve
-
Stve, I never got to try your Daystate, so please bring it to the next meet so I can have a go. It was great meeting you too. Lots of interesting talk going on about airguns. I was liking that as much as the shooting.
darryl
-
darryl,
i will certainly bring it, if you want to shoot it....see ya next time.
-
Put me on the list to shoot the Daystate to Steve. I looked at it but feared for my life to try taking it away from Jay. LoL
It was good to meet you and try to make it to the next meet.
Gary

Guys, there is this effort forming up in case any are interested: http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/message/1311714019/SW+Ohio+Airgunners+Wanted (http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/message/1311714019/SW+Ohio+Airgunners+Wanted)
I guys you could email Dave. I'd need to have a hunting PCP unless taking ground squirrels at 60 yards with the P-rod qualifies.
