Title: "Off Season" Pumper target match
Post by: Hoosier Daddy on November 19, 2018, 06:43:24 PM
Last year we started a "Vintage Pumper, Modern Pumper, and Vintage Everything Else" Casual Match. It didn't get running until about half way through the Off Season. We had a fair turn out, and those that participated seem to enjoy it.
Our previous host, JimQwerty123 hasn't been seen in a while, so I have posted it up in the Shooting Match Gate and will be giving it a go for us to have at it again this year.

I know we have some new members who may not be aware, or others that may not have known.
It is an online competition where you shoot at home, and score your target, then post it and  at the end the results is posted. The matches run for 2 weeks to get you submission in, then we do it again. At the end of the season final results will be tallied.
It is totally casual, If you don't have 10M (32 feet) to shoot, no pressure, shoot what you can.
C'mon in, join the fun. It helps wile away the long winter for us trapped inside.

If we get enough Pistol guys interested, I could start a pistol class the same way.. VPP (Vintage Pumper Pistol, Pre '85)  MPP (Modern Pumper Pistol post '84) and VOP (Vintage Other Pistol, pre '85) for CO2, SSP, Springers and such.

I may have to join this year.  My current 760 needs some mechanism of aiming, but I should be able to fling a few pellets down range.

FYI guys.... I got an email from Jim.
Bit of a go with his ticker has kept him down... but things are getting better.
He will probably join us soon.

If everything wasn't conspiring against me I'd love to participate.

Sadly I have no way to print out the targets, am currently fighting a cold , and am waiting on my new bank card which means I can't order any pellets.

Good luck to all who do participate an thanks for hosting it, it sure sounds like fun.

Just shoot the target on the computer screen, and when that don't work shoot the printer also, problem solved  :o
Is this match for any ole pumper new or old ?
Maybe a member can snail mail others some targets ? After that we would take your word you actually hit it, not like the what did you buy gate  ;)

Is this match for any ole pumper new or old ?

This match has three classes, "Vintage Pumper, Modern Pumper, and Vintage Everything Else"

More details are posted at the actual match I linked to above but in a nutshell....
Vintage Pumpers (Pre-93) compete against other Vintage pumpers.
Modern Pumpers (after 92) against other Modern Pumpers
VEE is for all other Vintage guns, ie:  springers and CO2, like my 160.

Those three classes typically weren't able to compete in the previous matches because they simply could not stack up to the newer FWB and Anschutz air rifles.
But they are still a hoot to shoot!
