I have 4-16, fairly nice scope. The illumination stopped working. Contacted Tac Vector. They put me in touch with a girl named Mia. Her english was a little lacking. She gave me an address, in China, to send scope. Would cost 53.00 to ship thru USPS. I am un willing to spend 53.00 to repair a scope l got for 110.00 on sale. Just a heads up. I ask for them to give another option. They never got back. I am done with Tac Vector. Don

That's the biggest problem with buying Chinese products these days is the costly shipping, it cost more to ship a lot of stuff than it does to buy it outright.

I thought it was illegal to ship a scope internationally? :-[

I thought it was illegal to ship a scope internationally? :-[

It’s only unlawful for Americans to ship outside of the US. ITAR is the reason I was told . Living in Canada I can get a scope shipped to me from anywhere in the world except for the US. Not sure why but pretty sure 90% of optics are coming out of China so why not let an American company ship outside the borders .

Losing illumination is no big deal ... frustrating perhaps, but scope as an optical devise for a gun is still 100%
Frankly for my self anyways ... If one could get all these otherwise nice scopes WITHOUT IR it would make for less weight and bulkiness being the preferred configuration.
NEVER use my IR equipped scopes IR anyways.

You can ship the scope out of the US, if you declare for repair. Don

Very sorry to hear Don, I encourage you to try to continue to work with them. I ordered a Tac Vector scope directly from them and they sent me the wrong scope. ( a more expensive scope) When I notified them via email, they promptly sent me the correct scope and told me to keep the original. Then on top of everything else, they refunded my payment in full, so I wound up with two scopes at no cost. No question, this won't happen every time, but they did go out of their way to make things right for me. Hopefully they will do the same for you. By the way, I do love my Tac Vector, but it was not illuminated.

If you haven't already I'd check the battery and contacts.
Sometimes the quality of them China branded batteries do more bad then good ....
Also it's a good idea to check if it's avaliable on Amazon just for thier return policy.

Scott, l can get by without illumination but bought the scope to put on a HFT gun. Here in the east the tendency is to find the darkest nook to put targets. Some times you REALLY need to see the retical.

Well, l sent them another e-mail. They offered me 20.00. Guess thats what you get when buying a Chinese product. Roll them dice and hope. ;). Don

If you shoot field target, in the east, you will be glad to have it. Don
