I've used the Diana Bullseye ZR-1 scope mount on my Diana AR8 Blaser .22 gas spring rifle for a couple of years now. This rifle has a rather pronounced jolt when fired that follows a rather pronounced cocking effort. It's pushing the 18 grain JSB's at a healthy 750 ft/sec... Not only have I not damaged the very inexpensive Bushnell 4x scope I have mounted on it, but it also hasn't lost its zero since I sighted it in when I first installed it! I have a couple of other "bucking bronco" springers that I'd like to use this mount on, but the rifles don't have a built-in scope stop solution like the AR8 does. I'm thinking that shouldn't be an issue as the mass of the scope is no longer pushing on the scope mount during the forward portion of the firing cycle recoil? Is anyone here using this mount without a scope stop and not having the scope mount slide backwards over time?

Charlie,
Sounds like you have an earlier version of the ZR-mount. I have no problem with mine on the Hatsan. I have it mounted a bit forward of the scope stop.
Check with Hector Medina to be sure... ;)

This is good stuff to hear. I've been meaning to order one for the last couple months. I have a Gamo Magnum that definitely can jar stuff loose.
I had a piece of Torx bit break off in the RRR mount. I was meaning to get my extractor, but in the meantime decided to shoot a couple hundred rounds. I remembered to bring out my other Torx bit set to tighten everything down, and wouldn't ya know? The broken Torx bit was gone. :o
She definitely kicks...so it's great to hear that the Z1R mount is serving you well. Looks like I'm gonna need to get one.
