Sweet rifle Bro.!!! Do keep us up on how she shoots(LOL, Like a Daystate won't be a tack driver).
-
The only problem I see with this Beauty is that it's yours... and not mine....
-
Very nice! Congrats!

Off the charts cool.

Scott,
Could you possibly do a review for us?
I am really liking that gun and everytime I look at it the price tag becomes more and more acceptable LOL
-
that thing sure looks slick, not for me but that one must be one *(&^ of a rifle
-
congrats !!!!

Great looking rifle!! Congrats!!

Thanks guys for the compliments, it does cost a lot but it's like driving a Ferrari, sure a Hunday will get you there but it's just not the same trip.
Here is some pics with my Hawke 8.5-25x42 tactial 1/2 mil dot scope mounted and a comparrison between my Rapid and Ranger, keep in mind the Rapid has had more work done and close to a thousand rounds through it and the Ranger has had less work done and around 100 shots through it so far.

Well the Rapid and Air Ranger both weigh 9.5lbs scoped, both balance very well but feel diffrent since the Ranger has a thumbhole stock and the Rapid dosen't.
The Rapid is .22 and shoots around 40fpe and I can get 4 12 shot clips at full power. The Ranger is .25 and shooting around 60fpe and gets around 20 full power shots but I could squeez 30. The Rapid is full tuned by Allen Zasadny and has maybe a thousand shots through it and is supper smooth. The Ranger only has around 40 shots through it and is still a little stiff as it's still breaking in. The Ranger was tuned by Steve at PAG and has one of his custom shrouds.
Both guns have full custom shrounds and are very quiet but the Ranger is louder then the Rapid. The Ranger has a 10 shot clip that is easy to load but is harder to get into the gun. The Rapids 12 shot clip is also easy to load and a lot easier to get into the gun.
The Rapid has a butter smooth trigger that is very light and the safety is close to the trigger which makes it easier to turn on and off with your trigger finger. The Ranger has a thumb safety at the back of the gun which is harder to turn on and off since the bolt comes out of the back of the gun and not out of the right side like the Rapid. The trigger on the Ranger is also very nice but needs a litle tuning to get to the same feel as the Rapid.
Both guns are laser accurate and I know the Rapid can take game out to 100+ yards and I'm the Ranger can too. I'm confident the Ranger will perform flalessly and have devistating stopping power.

Pretty sexy stable you have there! All you need now is an Fx Royal 400/500 and an EdGun Matador and you will have all the guns most of us dream of ;D

fx revolution looks pretty sweet too ;D

The FX Royal 500 is on my list along with an Airforce Stubby Extreme, it cost a lot less then the Matador and is a lot easier to get and just as good.

Thanks for the review Scott. I have been looking at an Air Ranger, huntsman xl, or an fx for my next purchase. Still undecided. Gotta call the folks at AOA. And give Allen Z a call to see what he is selling rapids for. Ahhhhhh decisions.
Thanks again

I have to agree with everybody ........ that is one really impressive looking rifle ......... from both a cosmetic 'and' functionl point (where's the green with envy icon???)!! :)
-
The nice thing is you can get most of the high end guns in .177 .22 and .25 and from 12fpe all the way up to 80fpe. There are still 9 more guns I want to buy so I'm going to be broke for years......lol

Sorry to bring up an old thread but any idea who made this shroud or where it can be purchased? Is it effective on a 60 FPE air rifle?
