I did some eye damage recently, tore my retina in my better eye. Cant even shoot my peep sight on my favorite oldie now.
I am not willing to barrel mount a pistol scope on it. So I thought I'd see what you guys might suggest or have seen done.
It's a 1961....something period correct could be even better.

This (http://meritcorporation.com/) helps me with the sights on my pistols. I glued it to a pair of safety glasses that fits over my eyeglasses.

Thanks Barry, I was using a plastic one that stuck on by static on my glasses. Kind of like the colorform reusable kids toy stickers from back in the day.
This recent tear was pretty close to my focal point so I am getting close to needing a magnifying scope as well.
But I am going to contact that Co. to see if they have an offering in a adjustable aperture threaded to screw right into the standard peep that we all use on the Beji's. That could be really cool.
I did a little shooting with the whole std aperature screwed off...used just the base massive hole... Like a ghost ring. The groups were just not good enough for my taste though. Maybe something adjustable in between can work for me.

Wow! Definitely got my attention.

Hmmm, Hopefully I will be researching this vicariously through Marty.... :D

I blew a vien on my right retina right where it focused on the sight/retcile. That's how I got into air guns. Bought a Beeman RS2 dual cal to learn to shoot left hand. Try changing eyes and hands. It's easier than you might think. The mechanics transfer. The hardest thing for me was trigger finger control.

!!! Wow. now that's dedication. ...but my right eye was the second to go. The eye doc warned me the right would go soon when they saw what happened to the left one. She was spot on.

It could be a while partner. Might need to squeeze that rock a little harder. ;)

"Original equipment", Benjamin brass scope blocks. Kinda hard to find but, they are out there. Different sizes for .22, .177.

Thanks! Never seen those

Had an original set of Benjy mounts, but wasn’t using them and gave them to a friend.
As far as a period-correct scope, I bought a couple of Tasco 3x7, 3/4” scopes for some older guns. These are available new, and I prefer them to a larger dia. scope on these retro-rifles. Pretty decent, for cheap glass:

Nice pork for the bbq on the avatar Anthony. I must have 5 or 6 4x20's around from the past. In the early 90's I had a tv screen 3-7x20(5?) that was a really cool one. It was on a 760. I miss that one. It got lost in a move. It was a GREAT BB shooter.
I'll find those old Bengi mounts somewhere...

I just learned I screwed up and Needed a different mount for a 317. All posts of mine edited to the search for a 312 breach area mount system.
Sorry about that.... DOH!! :o

Readily available Benjamin B272 mounts will work on a 312, 342 or any Sheridan rifle. If you don't mind spending a bit more, the Mac1 mount is an excellent alternative.
Same gun as above, before stock refinish and with B272 mounts:

Thanks again. back on track ;)

Any chance one could make a rail that mounts to the two sight mounting points on these rifles ?
I think it would be plenty sturdy enough for something small like one of those little $16 tasco 3-7 scopes.
I could see it being fairly easy to make one out of some 1/16" steel or aluminum plate.

BTW Nice refinish on the stock but Ialso love the wear in that "Before" pic. Now THAT gun had a life as a shooter! Has to have stories to tell. ...if stocks could talk...
