Built this several years ago, seem to take a lickin and keep on tickin. You can see the pellet mountains under the bulls eyes. Back board on the box is that hard compressed board, three layers was probably overkill. The box is heavy, and no sound on impact. This is my 10m setup in the shop.

I count 6 hits on the wood, zero on the paper :D. I had a duct seal trap many years ago worked great but it got so heavy I couldn't move it or get the pellets out. I just use a box stuffed with rags now, every so often I clean it out build another one and start over good for about 10 to 1500 shots.
Nice job on the box now put a few rounds on the paper ;)

Yep a few of those dings are from fresh scope sight in, or test shots after a tune. None of them are from a Feinwerkbau 300s. Now I think a few of those may of been from my younger brother and a couple of his "prized" Feinwerkbau 124's, not sure why anyone would want one of those........ ::)

Exactly. Good info for anyone that hasn't tried a duct seal trap. I'd originally thought when it was "full" it would be a laborious task to pick out the many pellets. No chance. I'd planned on throwing it out and staring over. Turns out it can be broken/torn apart and the pellets mostly brushed out. Have done so twice now, no big effort required.
I use duct seal for the indoor trap to reduce dust and mulch fill outdoors, mostly for the weight.

Nice. I use nothing but duct seal as my backstop when shooting indoors and chrono testing.
I use 8-10 bricks of duct seal in a metal 8"x10" electrical breakout box, and just use 1 piece of scotch tape at the top to hang 8.5x11 paper targets. It lasts many years.
