Title: Diana springer disassembly.
Post by: Aged on October 23, 2018, 12:29:53 PM
Has anyone successfully removed the cocking lever hinge pin from the piston cylinder on Diana underlever or possibly breakbarrel rifles?
I thought it was tightly screwed in but when I put enough pressure to it it began to twist without coming out. It may have been pressed in or welded on I don't know.

Thanks to a friend on the CAF the problem's solved! Apparently there's a set screw at the end of the cylinder holding the hinge pin in place...poor diagram on line. I removed the now broken screw and after I extract the rest from the pin all is well.

Yes, the similar set-up on the RWS54 had me fussed for a bit.  I took it apart from the other end to avoid a problem but then used a flash-light and found the pesky little thing hidden in there.

Short work when you know where to look.
