I was wondering what others experiences have been using a stock Bulldog for hunting deer. I know there have been previous threads about this but I’m looking for more recent experiences. A lot of what I’ve found has been speculation but I wanted real world experiences. Thanks for the help.

I live in a subdividing nothern Mi. My dog is stock load the 145 slug .I can not risk any animals loose running with body shots. My shots are all head shots ,either I hit or miss or if not a good look I pass! Mine is scope, shoots very very good has pitbull on and is quite enough nobody complains it is what is I love the set up and it works.

There's one from hunting gate with stock gun and 145 grain Nosler. The Nosler made a pass through broadside.
Several posts on how to up power with opening, drillilingout, air port and barrel to .277 or so. With that simple do yourself mod you'll get 127 grain to 900 fps. Remove the return spring and gain a little more power. Good .250" meplait on 135 to 140 grain slug and that power would get pass through and bigger hole.
