Title: What's best alternate sights for Sheridans?
Post by: Wunderwerks on October 12, 2018, 01:44:20 PM
My old eyes can no longer use open sights. Scopes just will not mount with any degree of stability. These are beautiful air rifles in looks and function.  What have you used so that you can still enjoy accuracy and not just have a wall hanger?

Been through this and wasted lots of money.  The Mac-1 Scope Mount is very solid and won’t mar your gun.  You can use it as a scout scope as I did or you can turn it around and ramp it over your receiver with a more conventional scope.  It’s has a cut out to help your loading.  It’s $50 but it’s worth it cause it’s well made and designed.  I would encourage the scout scope just works well on a pumper.

Well my barrel separated on my blue streak, so the rear sight was not going back on.
While I was having it resolderderd I had it drilled and tapped for a Williams 5Dsh peep sight and could not be hsppier.

+1 on the Mac-1 AI mount.
Stable, rock solid & won’t promote barrel separation.
Like Marty said, versatile because of the option of being able to be used in the scout or breech mount positions. Well worth the money. 💰
