I Used Vortex scopes in the past, for the last few years they fallen off the radar for me. They just didn't have a radical I like. They were all very limited on the choices, I want a lot of dots and least four up and for down. Some windage would be nice to. Well I seeing there trying to win me back. Check out there two scope I found on there web site:

I just received the 4-16 last week. I would consider the scope a very definitive upgrade to the hawke 3-9 I was using. Much easier shooting past 50 yards now.

Im not sure where you have been but vortex has offered the ebr reticles for awhile that have a ton of hold over points in moa / moa or mrad / mrad configuration. The viper line starting with the HS LR all the way up to the razor lines all have an ebr reticle in one form or another. The strike eagle line has the ebr 4 reticle. The diamond back tactical is the lowest priced line up that does offer the ebr style reticle tho. So if it was the price point holding you back from the higher priced lines with those reticles then yes vortex now has a reticle in your price range but they have offered those ebr reticles for years in the higher priced lines.

I have been using the new diamondback tactical 6-24x for about a month now. Love it. I got mine in MOA. Same price as the Aztec ($400). Great warranty! The 6-24 has a parallax adjust down to 10 yds. But I would say it goes down to closer to 6 or 7. Biggest advantage over the Aztec is it is FIRST FOCAL PLANE!

Very nice scope especially being FFP and the EBR reticle at that price.

I agree. I have a Vortex Diamondback and love it, but not enough dots. I have no idea why they would have done that with such a nice clear scope. Glad they are changing things.
