[ First GTA post; thanks for all the AG knowledge I've gleaned here, and for some great bargains. I hope I can reciprocate. ]
There's a neat website that is a Walmart (& few others) local inventory checker. You plug in a SKU and a ZipCode, and it spits out a list of nearby stores and the Price/Quantity (that appear to be available at each. It is brickseek.com.
Here's a URL for that recent QB78s: (I'm on probation so you'll have to copy&paste)
brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=203872676
Fill in your zip, then "Search Inventory". Good luck.
[You can also try SKU 27944720, which is similar, and seems to be in the early stages of the WMT clearance lifecycle.]
Caveat: The Quantity displayed is "virtual" (the computer's view) and does not account for "shrinkage" (theft, etc). Also, I don't know the update frequency; it is at least daily. Consider the listed # to be a best case; if it says 2 or more, odds are decent-- if zero, fuhgettaboutit.

Awesome! Thank you! ;D I didn't find any in my area, but this is a nifty tool for future "treasure hunts."

That is really cool, thanks for posting it. Here's a direct link...................

How do I find the SKU number?
-
I have the same question as Earl ^^^^^^^!
-
This could be really useful. The original link and SKU return a Beeman Silver Kodiak model, not the QB78S though.
The site also allows searching by UPC which can be looked up with a quick Google search.
-
Sometimes brickseek will show something in stock when there is nothing in stock actually.
So before you go to Walmart better call them to check that they have what you want.
-
And out of stock discontinued stuff sometimes comes back into stock at Wallyworld, so don't give up the search. There is a stealthy little $9 spring-assisted knife that Kershaw made only for Walmart. Not even on Kershaw's website. I bought the "last two" about three years ago. Since then they often have had just one in the case. And I buy it for stocking stuffers. Eleven times now. So don't give up. Keep checking this site. This is neat!

Came up the same for me and I'm in NY just north of Buffalo. Not much of a CO2 fan but for $50 it might have been fun to tinker with.

How do I find the SKU number?
Up near the top of the web page, right under the title "Walmart Inventory Checker", you'll see:
Need help finding a SKU? Search here
Clicking on the "Search here" will trigger the SKU Finder pop-up.
There, you see a Enter Product Keyword box; enter keyword(s) and hit "Search".
For example, I did the above and entered beeman rifle .
It returned the following:
========
Beeman Silver Kodiak Co2 Air Rifle .177
SKU: 203872676
Beeman;beeman Rs 2 Air Rifle Combo
SKU: 17217813
Beeman Rs1 Air Rifle P17 Deluxe Air Pistol
SKU: 387486868
Beeman Dual Caliber Air Rifle with Scope
SKU: 16686245
Beeman Silver Kodiak Co2 Air Rifle .177
SKU: 831021475
Beeman Ram -XT .22 Air Rifle Combo with 4x32mm Scope
SKU: 27944729
Beeman Grizzly X2 DC .177 Air Rifle Combo with Case
SKU: 27944713
Beeman Kodiak X2 Dual Caliber All Weather Air Rifle Combo
SKU: 27944717
Beeman Airguns 1077 Silver Kodiak X2 DC Dual Caliber - Air Rifles - 3-9x32mm
SKU: 27944724
=======
But, note that each product name is "clickable", and doing so will plug its SKU in and, if the ZipCode had been entered, automatically invoke the Inventory Search; otherwise, you then enter zip, and click Search Inventory.
As for those (above) search results, I don't know airguns like you guys, but it looks like the database records for the Beeman products are FUBAR'ed. A search for "crosman rifle" produces sensible results.
