Just finished this build after having most of the parts sitting in house for a few years.

The shortened Disco tube and L/W .20 barrel were both recycled from the other rifle in the pic.
What I wanted to do was use a 1701 breech/bolt on a tube with a modified Disco valve,
as a good deal of my shooting is with bulk co2 and the P'rod/1701 small valve capacity makes for a
pretty under powered co2 shooter. So how to mount the 1701 breech as the two screws that fasten
the front of the breech through the tube and into the valve won't work with the larger ID of the Disco valve.
For me the answer was to drill the breech for the forward 4/48 breech screw that the 22xx platform uses
and also add a heftier front 8/32 cap screw that threads into the tube 180deg opposite the trigger group screw.
This was done by drilling a 1/4" hole through the top of the breech and into the barrel bore ending with a .080" deep counter bore
in the bottom of the barrel bore to clear the head of the 8/32 cap screw. This gave me a very stable breech
mounting, but also required making a brass thimble so the barrel can be mounted after the breech is installed.
I imagine this method could be used with a P'rod breech if anyone wanted to move up to a larger Disco valve.

So the finished product as shown 34" overall, 18".20 cal L/W barrel, 1st Gen M'rod trigger group, early 2260 stock
Disco valve with M'rod stem and conical spring, lightened P'rod striker, home built barrel band topped with a Vortex Venom Reflex sight.

:D awesome ! :D

That is a Disco build to the max... very impressive work, Mr R!
A nice rock-solid breech, m-rod trigger group upgrade, and the .20 LW barrel cover all the bases. I like the OAL too - looks very nice.
I think I followed most of that but how did you seal the transfer port to the thimble?... Thanks 8)

Looks Good! Should be a shooter, I always liked the .20 for dealing with close quarter Neighborhood squirrels with out worrying about getting pass thru's 8)

Hi Gary
I just used an oem crosman T/P that I opened up a bit. I can't say exactly which crosman it was intended for I had a few diferent lengths to choose from in my junk box and picked one that happened to be the right length.

That is just beautiful!!
