Well fellas, can I do it or not? Alrighty then, why would I want to?!
Seriously would it be worth the extra FPS is it doable some small parts look different on the diagrams to Crosman are there any small mods needed? $26.00 in stock.
I have a Benjamin np2 22 I'm getting a 177 barrel for it today looking forward to a flatter trajectory any further comments suggestions, thanks!

I believe NP2 and XL have the same diameter compression tube so no problem there. The length of the NP2 compression tube may be shorter.
Any increase in power will be minimal as power is more dependent on the swept volume of the piston. The increase in power will be accompanied by a more violent shot cycle and increased difficulty shooting the gun accurately. You may wish to reconsider this part of your upgrade and just go with the .177 change.

What he (^) said...mine shoots around 915fps in .22(10.4) and 745 in .25. I do not have a .177 barrel for it but would guess it would likely be close to 1050. If so, I would probably be using heavier pellets to get them at a speed where they would be more stable in flight.

Thank you for your experienced response, much respect,
Sticking with np2 power plant for new .177 barrel.
