Title: Taipan Veteran barrel removal?
Post by: StockClassDD68 on August 27, 2018, 10:31:18 PM
Hi all,

Just like the title says, how should I remover the Veteran barrel? Are the Vets barrels threaded into the receiver? I see no set screws to back off like with my RAWs for example. . . . Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Rocco

There are 2 flats for a wrench ... yes threaded RH.  Scope / trigger block screws ( 12 total ) must also be loose to allow barrel to rotate.

That was my suspicion, was hoping you would find this as I have read you have been all through yours.

Thanks

Any idea what size wrench?  All I have on hand are too thick to fit down on the flats.

I believe it is a 13mm, could be incorrect. You may need to buy a thin jaw wrench or just buy a cheapy and grind it down and sand away the burrs left by the grinding . . . Motorhead may know more/better.

Edit: confirmed thin 13mm. Thanks MH
