Title: PROD won't cock.. among other things
Post by: jpl357 on August 27, 2018, 09:28:34 AM
Was adjusting the foward trigger screw and it went in all the way *@&$!    Disasembled and of course the safety spring and ball came out but when putting it back together but either way I can no longer cock it.  It will not catch.    It does have a Hill Hammer Spring and Vavle but I shouldn't have to turn down the tension on the Spring to reassemble should I?  Or do I have a sear issue?  Do I have to degass to reassemble?  Was on working on trigger group and connecting to the tube..

Any help is appreciated.... got Chipmunks laughing at me...

Is the sear not engaging the hammer or are you not able to pull the hammer back at all?

If you took the grip frame off, you need to keep the trigger squeezed while tightening the grip frame back to the air tube. If not the sear can't drop out of the way and you can break the sear or have it stuck so that it will not cock.

It will pull back.. not jammed or anything.  I did not squeeze the trigger while assembling.. third hand.. tape?

Backed off  on trigger handles bolts, cocked it and it caught.  Kept trigger squeezed and retightened.   Now it is cycling fine.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting that.  I had no idea that could be an issue.
