I have always been a fan of open sights, v’s, notched, and diopter. Recently bought a TX200 and was wondering if it is feasible to mount a front sight on the barrel and a diopter rear sight? End run is to be able to rescope whenever I wanted.

You can find discussions of target sights on tx200s on some European forums. Slice a piece out of a type a 3/4 inch pex tube and snap it on. Glue a sight to the tube and use whatever rear sight you prefer. Have read of people using superglue to attach a front sight. Acetone will disolve the glue and not hurt the bluing (or so I have been told). You might concider the Center Point reflex sight (34.95).
Good luck.

This sight looks like it could be adapted to work.

Doesn't the Airforce sight require front groves which the tx 200 lacks?

Yes but I believe the sight itself and it's extension could be mounted to another type of block.

Willy on the old Yellow Airgun forum has a TX HC with iron sights. If you post on the Airgun Warriors site, I imagine he would tell you what he did, and show pics.

Thanks for heads up on the Yellow.

ssbn617. Being in the same delima with the same rifle, I for one, would be intrested in what you decide.

It is just a thought at the moment. I am still learning how to shoot it and do not have the time right now to do it. Actually I am looking towards a project for next year. That said a RWS54 tuned down to 12 + or - lbs. might be the ticket.
