If you are like me, you may have been frustrated on zeroing in your favorite spring-powered air rifle. I could not seem to find the perfect way to rest the rifle on the bench and use the artillery hold.
There were two many variables with resting the fore-end on my hand and allowing the rifle to move as needed with the recoil and spring movement.
For sometime, I've been wanting to get into the Precision Rifle Shooting (PRS) game with my PB long range rifles. After some research, I started buying some shooting bags from Armageddon Gear.
Then I discovered that two of their products were ideal for spring-powered air rifle shooting!
The two great products that they make are the Fat Bag and the Squishy Rear Bag. The fill on the Fat Bag is stiff enough to support an 8-10 pound springer but has enough "give" to permit the rifle to move as needed during the shot cycle. The outer nylon shell is also slick enough to let the rifle slide and not drag on the bag itself.
I use the large Fat Bag for my air rifles. The small Fat Bag isn't big enough for the rifle.

I use Squishy Rear Bag for a rear rest. As the name implies, the bag is indeed "squishy." This provides enough of a rear rest for the butt stock but enough "give" so the bag doesn't prevent any movement during the shot cycle.

How good do the bags work? They were good enough to get my rifle on target for shooting at empty 9mm and 45 ACP shell casings at 30 yards!
The bags may seem a bit pricey but when some of us spend $400 or more on a good air rifle (sans optics) these accessories are a good deal.
Armageddon Gear also offers military discounts. When you place your order tell them that you are active duty military or a veteran in the comments window. You will still be charged the full rate but a few days to a week later, they will credit the discount to your debit or credit card. They are very faithful about that.
I don't get any compensation from them but just want to pass on the information about a couple of fantastic products.
