Of course it does!
I went a bit out of my comfort zone to win one off gunbroker. It was advertised as having shot fine until the cocking arm came loose from the piston. Apparently the cocking arm came loose in 1985 :)
I ordered an ARH cocking shoe and breech seal ahead of time, hoping it might be a quick and easy fix. ARH states that a bent cocking arm will break the shoe. Low and behold, it was a bit bent sideways, but I was able to muscle it straight. Barrel and everything else looks good, though. The spring seems fine, although it fits the guide loose, and I'm not a fan of twang.
Does anyone have advice about getting an ARH standalone spring vs. a complete kit with guides? The Hornet springs shoot great in HWs and reduce twang without needing a whole kit. Are the 124 springs the same way?
Thank you!

Issue with 124/127 guns is that the spring guide is integral to the rear block. Some springs fit better than others, tho currently ARH is advertising a snug replacement spring for these guns

I went whole hog and ordered the pro-mac slightly softer kit. Easy cocking and mellow shot cycle is what I want out of this gun. Can't wait to put it together!

The Pro-mac slightly softer kit is the one I would have recommended. Easy installation and a very smooth upgrade for the ol' girl. Great to see you revive that 124. You'll definitely enjoy the fruit of your labor of love restoring the gun to its former glory! ;D

Thanks for the encouragement, Mark! I'm thrilled to rebuild this classic.
