I had been searching for two specific Benji’s; an early model & a late model 342. These two will complete my search for the 3 transitional models I'm interested in (312, 342 & 392P/PA w/ "P" Trigger Assy). Billy (Flint) answered the call for the late model 342. In fact it’s a 1990 which was the last year for the 34x before transitioning into the 39X series. He said the gun was amazing. That was an understatement. I was ready to purchase the gun sight unseen but he sent photos anyway. It looked great in the photos but they, like the ones in this thread don’t do the gun justice. It is absolutely flawless. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Billy!
One more to go, an early model 342; there’s something about that tootsie grip...

That's a beauty. Except for the rear sight, trigger guard and bolt cam plate it looks just like a 392P.

Rear sight, trigger guard & cam plate are completely different on the 392P.

Very Nice Marty!

Thanks Randy & Dave. Ya the 31x & 34x are almost identical. I'd like to get my hands on a early model 342 to see what changes other than the forearm grip have occurred. What is obvious is the massive size (relatively speaking) change to the 39x. The 312 measures 34 3/4", 342 34 7/8" & the 392 36 3/8".

Besides the tootsie roll pump handle, didn’t the earlier models (variant 1), have a checkered hand grip on the rear stock & fore grip after the tootsie rolls?

You're right Dave. Darn I have to find another one. ;)
