I think a 392 might be looking for me ;D I have a birthday soon may need to get one.
-
OUT FRIGGIN STANDING!
Loves me some of them there Benji Pumpers!
My 392 is at the bottom.
-
Sure wish I had a place I could shoot one. They have always looked fun. Congrats!
-
Congrats Scott! Looking forward to some pix.
And Scott (dang everyone on here is Scott or Steve ::)) Always love looking at you group of Benji's!
-
That is one gun I haven't bought ... yet I want to , keep us updated ;D
-
Great little pump guns... thumpers in .22. Enjoy it!
-
I've been wanting a 397 for several years. Changed my mind and went for a 392, and got it a couple of weeks ago. It may not be a tack driver at fifteen yards, but if I miss a rat, it's not the gun's fault. Have been shooting it in, and it gets better every time...love this old school rifle!!!
-
Congratulations Scott! Enjoy. 8)
-
I am sure you will LOVE it
-
Can you post a pic? Just curious if it's the one with the "P" style trigger group?
-
Sure thing. I've since mounted a UTG scope on it.
-
Very nice gun! Enjoy ;)
-
Now that I've had mine for a few months and have over a thousand rounds thru it, I gotta say...what a sweet shootin' rifle this is! I've read the criticisms about the trigger, yada yada, but mine, right out of the box, had a straight, smooth, clean trigger...also EXTREMELY accurate in my fifteen yard backyard range. I installed the Williams 5D sight on it, and that's made a huge difference too!!!
-
Vance,
Did you have to clean any overspray from the muzzle for it to shoot well?
-
I see you have the factory rear sight on it. If you check the 392 mod postings, one of the recommendations is to pull off the rear sight because it can cause the barrel to separate from the pump tube. The rear sight is held on with spring tension, so the way to remove it is to tap it off with a wood drift and a hammer.
-
How has the rifle been treating you? Get any squirrels yet?
-
Nice set up there. Welcome to the pumper club.
-
Very nice looking 392. That was my first choice when I got back into airgunning last year.
Still can’t believe how accurate it is once I got the paint overspray out of the muzzle end of the bbl.
Good luck with yours. I like the scope and sling you have on it!
-
Congrats Scott! Looking forward to some pix.

SHHH... It's a conspiracy. ;)
-
That sling and scope does round out your 392 nicely
-
Scott(s),
How are your scopes mounted? Doesn't look like intermounts, at least not on your Scott. But Scott yours might be I just cannot zoom in enough.
Had Intermounts on my 1322. Did not like them at all, so installed an aluminum breach.
Are these breaches replaceable?

Well, maybe we can come up with nick names for you guys... ;)

No, the breaches on 39x's are soldered to the pump tube.

Yep,
Mines got an Air Venturi intermount...

Wait... were you talking to me?
;D

Thanks Scott,
Looks like that clamps right on the breach. A lot nicer than the ones that clamped on the barrel of my 1322.
I also found this which may be what Scott used. https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/one-piece-scope-mount-benjamin-397-392-air-rifles/ (https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/one-piece-scope-mount-benjamin-397-392-air-rifles/)
I may be helping my sister order a 392 for her husband for Christmas. I do not think he needs to mount a scope but if I get myself one I would want to scope it and was wondering what my options are. Gotta get a PCP first though.

Its pretty simple actually. Scott has one rifle in his pic and Scott has a whole bunch. But if anyone is still having trouble Scott lives in Indiana and...
