Setting up my bulldog for both EBR and hunting whitetail this fall. Only looking for 3 power shots and still having 2 follow-up shots if needed. Started by opening the ports to 19/64" reshaped the stock poppet and added a small inner spring to the main hammer spring. Filled the gun to 3400psi and got the following using 145gr Nosler slugs.
3400psi
916
916
902
Refilled to 3400psi
912
922
900
Both times I got an average of 911-912 and 267fpe.

These are the slugs Nosler made for Benjamin. They are a lead alloy. Typically the gun comes with 6 or so. I picked up a couple of extra boxes from pyramyd.

Im having a BD tuned.
Did you drop in a Jefferson State balanced valve?
-
If you didn't remove the valve spring, give that a try. Added about 30fps to mine, it really gets in the way of the air flow. Regards, Tom

No, I tuned it. Enlarged the transfer port, added an inner spring to the hammer spring and reshaped the poppet head.
