Hi guys! Someone else pointed out this crosman 2250/2240 magazine system on eBay on the Canadian forum. Thought I'd post it in case it hasn't been posted here yet. I've been waiting and waiting for DIY guy to start selling his but decided to try this one meanwhile.
Great price!

Let us know what you think of it.

I bought one about a month ago and mounted it on one of my Maximus hunters, works as advertised. Sure beats fiddling with pellets in hunting situations, makes plinking faster also :)
-
Good to hear!
-
will this work on my 2300kt in .22 ??
-
Sure should! It's made for the Crosman steel breech.

yes it should, but i've been there before...just wanting to make sure.
thank you.... ;)
-
Yep, my apologies, I hear you! Well at least it is cheap and has already been found to fit the Maximus and 2240 and 2250, so will be useful to someone.
-
I'm going to put it on a 1322
-
i got ya..... i took a chance and ordered one.
my grandaughter has trouble loading singles in my (her) 2300kt.
its such a nice carbine for kids with very good accuracy and with rocker1's
touch, it packs a punch !! 8)
-
Nice! That should be a help anyway.
-
That is pretty cool. I wonder how it mounts? Is it permanent or can it be easily moved from one gun to another, i.e. use it on my 2240 based carbines and on my Maxima when needed?
-
I also bought this kit ,pretty cheap if not for shipping from the old country. Attached to my maximum as well . Good fit but haven't gotten to see how it works yet. It is a printed device, seems well executed. Wayne
-
Would it get in the way of a scope, or require high rings?
Edit: Has anyone seen one made for .177?
-
If I recall the Maximus Hunter came with medium rings , and there is room enough for mounting.
I have not seen one for .177, and the design may not work as well with them tiny pellets.
It has 2 screws that clamp it on , easy to move from gun to gun.

Per the details: Compatible with most scope set ups. Magazine sits only ~10mm above scope rail. It looks to be pretty low profile in the picture. I ordered one to try on my Maxima and it has a 50mm scope sitting on a set of tall 1" rings, so I hope there is ample clearance for this gizmo!
-
Thanks Paul and James.
-
On 6-18 I asked if there were plans to make them in .177. The reply was:
"Hi there,
I currently dont currently own a .177 variant Crosman, but I hope to pick one up soon to make a magazine for it.
It maybe more tricky due to the smaller pellet size, but I think I could get it working.
Thank you for your interest."
-
Thanks - picked one up for my 2400kt that is showing up tomorrow.
-
I bought one recently and mounted it on my Maximus. Haven't taken a ton of shots, but worked great with JSB 15/16 grain pellets. I had been meaning to do a brief review with photos, but life got in the way.
-
received mine today, no instructions included.
the rubber band seals look melted, what are they for ?
i guess i need guidance....... :-[

I was referred to this but I forget if it was on the ebay page.
-
Thanks James that video is very helpful!
-
Only issue I have with the product , is I have a cat that likes to chew my scope cap elastic, and I think he found that rubber band and bit it in half. :o
-
Well, stop locking your cat in the gun safe! ;D
-
I got my 5 round magazine system today. It's bit different that what is shown in the video. It does work pretty well until it doesn't! I had a pellet that miss fed and I had to take it off to fix it. This, of course requires you to remove the scope also! But, it is pretty slick and I only had it miss feed one time. For the price, it's a pretty good deal!

Paul,
had same thing happen to me several times and adjusted the position until the problem kinda went away.
what i do know is.....its very handi to load singles with using a scope !
that right there has my grandaughter smiling and thats just great !!!
-
So true, I'm smiling also because it was a real pain trying to get pellets loaded under the scope without having them flip over so they were sitting skirt first in the tray. This does help a lot with that! Thanks for the suggestion to tweak it till it works, it's much smoother now!
Here are some pictures of it on my Maximus in case anyone is interested. I have the high mounts because it was so difficult to load pellets with my fat fingers, this definitely makes that easier!
-
Would it work on a Sheridan 2260MB?
-
I don't see why it would not work on a Sheridan 2260MB .

They look close if not identical. Might keep me interested in the gun. Don't really care for it.
-
I'll reach out to the maker, but just thought I would ask here:
Anyone know if he's making progress on a .177 model of this? I'm really wanting one to try on my 1701 (if it fits)!

If I may ask, how much of the dovetail does this take up? I have hight scope rings, so I'm not worried about vertical clearance. Thanks!

It's less than 2" long and the steel breech is about 6" long. Here are some pictures that may help...

I put one on my 2260 and it works great. You still can't shoot very fast with co2 because the gun gets too cold and the point of impact changes. It sure helps with loading pellets under a scope with fat old fingers though.

Charlie,
Thanks, for the info. When you say 2260 do you mean 2260MD.
-
Yes Tim. The Sheridan 2260 MB. The 5 shot magazine fits great and works well. If you turn the gun upside down with the magazine full the pellets sometimes fall out but other than that it works good and fits under medium height scope mounts.
Charlie,

Great, thanks!
