Title: Seneca Dragonfly .22 cal
Post by: chwillbill68 on July 28, 2018, 11:44:28 PM
I picked up a .22 cal Dragonfly today at the Baldwinsville, NY air gun show today.  Been wanting a pumper to add to my collection.  Wondering if anybody has one and what pellets have worked best for you.  Also has anyone did any tweeking to it.  I would also love to add a suppressor to it.  I saw a guy at the show with a TKO suppressor on his Benj.  He said it just slides on the barrel and is held there with a allen screw.  Wondering if something like that would work on this gun and also my Crossman 180.

Thanks Bill C!

I have one, I have a bug buster scope on it and a TKO to make it very quiet. Mine likes CPHPs, ( I dont use them as they pass right through the rats) and RWS Meisterkuglen  Those two are the best for me. I have not been shooting very far with mine yet. I have not had a chance to see what it does at 20yards.  Right now I have it setup for crosman destroyers as I am mainly shooting rats. The destroyers dont shoot as tight groups that the others do. (but they are usable)  I took my last rat at almost 8 yards with three pumps without a full pass through.  I removed the front and rear sights. The front to mount the TKO, the rear to get it out of the way. I use the rear sight mount as a place to push on while pumping.  I also found I can adjust the tirgger with the screw that holds the trigger guard on.  I am really liking the rifle.  It does get easier to pump.

That’s the same scope I got to put on mine.  I will look for that screw for the trigger adjustment. Any tips on removing the front sight,  I tugged and tried twisting with a little force with no movement but I did not want to break anything. Is it just a tight fit?

Thanks Bill C!

You have to heat up the front sight with a heat gun. Then you pull it straight off. Once it was heated it came of easy. If you order a TKO you must tell Mike it is for a Dragonfly. As the snow peak guns and Diana storm rider have a different size barrel on the end.  Since this photo was taken I took the rear sight off.

Paulus what was your barrel diameter,  mine was 12mm.

The main barrel is 12mm, but under the front sight it was stepped down to right at 11.75. So when I pulled the front sight a TKO cut for 12mm would not fit.

Ok I think I should recheck my measurement, I don't want to get the wrong size.
