Hi all,
I have a tin of FTT that I got with my rifle when I bought it and I’ll need to order some more soon. While checking in pyramydair I see they offer different head sizes, 5.53, 5.54 & 5.55. Is there a way to tell the head size of my tin? It says 5.5 and I don’t want to try a different one.
Thanks

They sell them in sorted and unsorted. If it was a sorted tin there will be a sticker on the bottom with the head size.

Look at the back of the tin. Their should be a sticker with that info on it.
If there is no sticker then you will have to measure them

Ohh thanks! No sticker at the bottom of the tin, it looks like I have a tin of unsorted pellets.
It looks like my rifle then really likes this pellet because I'm getting stellar groups with this tin. I'll try the mid value in the head size (5.54) and go from there.
Thanks once more!

If you are getting great groups with unsorted pellets then my guess is that it won’t matter much what head size you shoot with that pellet.

The size tag (if one) is on the bottom or rear of the case. It does not explicitly say, "The head size is . . . ."
The first line of the label, on the back, will say something like "Field Target Trophy GL" followed by a string of numbers. Those numbers indicate the head size in millimeters.

I just got my order from PA and the tins are labeled on the back 5.5/5.53
correction they are labeled 5.54/500s
