Since there is not a Mexican air rifle category I thought the best place to post is here.
My Mendoza Tech Force 12 and RM600 are both down due to broken trigger springs. Last week I fired 9 shots out of the TF12 and the trigger spring broke. This week after 8 shots the RM600 trigger spring has broke. Unbelievable! Both guns are now huge paperweights. I have modified both of these guns so the warranty is null and void and I can't return them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get replacements? Info is so limited on these guns my search turned up nothing.

Give this a try

Go to Pyramyd air and in the search window type in -mendoza. Nothing else. You'll see some Mendoza part. Some have no picture but maybe one is what you're looking for.

Lefteye,
Thank you. I tried Pyramyd but no luck.
Longisland,
Thanks for the link. They offer a spring matching service, awesome. They need dimensions of the original spring. The TF12 spring must have fell out when it broke. The broken spring(s) not sure if it's one or two, are still in the RM600 but I need to disassemble the gun to get it out. I planned on doing this anyway to do a tune.
Thanks fellows.

Glad it worked out for ya :)

Here is a Page with a parts breakdown for an RM2003.

Here is the Mendoza Website, they have some parts breakdowns on there..

By the picture it looks like there's only one spring in the trigger assembly. If you go to Pyramyd and type into their search window these part numbers:
PY-A-1755 and PY-A-1769
One of those might have the spring. One is $2, the other is $0.35.

OleTomcat,
Thanks for the part breakdown link. I found one similar but none of the parts were identified. At least I now know that it's called. A double trigger laminated spring kit.
Lefteye,
I don't believe those parts are what I need but thanks for the info. I have a feeling that this special spring is going to be very difficult to find. I may have to improvise something.
I am quite annoyed that both these springs broke within 1 week of each other putting both guns out of commission. Makes me wonder how many other springs will break if I get these two up and running.
No more Mendoza for me.
I noticed that P/A no longer offers the Tech Force or Mendoza guns. Too many returns? Most likely.

I just contacted Mendoza. Hope there is someone there who reads English. ::)
Maybe they have a few in their inventory.

I feel your pain. I have a TF M12 and a 600 as well as several other Mendozas or guns made by them for other companies. Haven't had that problem yet.
I emailed them once a couple of years ago. A woman responded via email. Her english was broken but understandable.

Use Google Translates to convert your English text to Spanish and vice versa...

OleTom,
Didn't think of that, thanks. I'll give them a few days to respond then I will send it translated.

This is like ebay over here. They will need year of manufacture though....
Always good to have options

Tejon,
That's it!! When I first saw the price of 249.00 I thought is was a joke and then realized it's not dollars. Even at the exchange rate it figures out to $12.50 so they aren't cheap but if they get my rifles up and running I won't hesitate to buy some.
Don't know where or how you dug up the site but thank you.
-
Happy to help.
Hope you get them up and running. I have an rm800 from '98 and still shoot it.

Check McMaster and Carr. I know they have what you need because I bought a couple before. You may have to shorten the legs a bit but they work great. I bought them in a slightly lighter gauge and it lightened the trigger pull up a bit. They are called torsion springs.
-
BTW... They are a huge PITA to install. They just kinda float in there with the two legs set into holes. Took me several attempts to make them just right. Buy extras.
-
Avator,
Thanks for the info. They have plenty of springs that's for sure. Do you recall which ones you bought?
It appears that I will have to modify the spring to make a 90 degree bend to match the original.
I plan on buying extras as you suggest just in case I screw up a couple when I put the bend in them. Don't know how well torsion springs take to being bent but I will find out soon enough.
Reducing the trigger pull on the TF12 would help with accuracy since it's on the heavy side but the RM600 with the dual trigger already has a light pull so I would not want to go much lighter.
Thanks to all here who responded. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I tried to find what I ordered and could not. If you have calipers you might take some measurements and compare. If I remember right I had to uncoil the spring one coil and bend in the legs. Sorry, wish I could be better help. They are cheap enough to buy a few different examples.
-
Avator,
No need to apologize you have already helped very much. I still need to take down the RM600 to get to the spring. It's just flopping around in there. Been busy with other things and I hope to get to it soon.
I have calipers so taking some dims is no problem. Thanks for telling me that it just kind of floats around in there. I probably would have thought I did something wrong and spent more time fiddling with it before realizing that.
Yes, I will be ordering extras along with a few other types to add to my spring stash. Can't have too many springs on hand.
