Photobucket has recently (May 2018) changed its Terms of Service yet again.... I guess they were getting so much flack they decided to come out with two new "paid" plans for 2 GB and 20 GB including 3rd Party Hosting.... http://photobucket.com/plans/ (http://photobucket.com/plans/)
I have had their 20 GB plan for years, original it was $30/yr, last year went to $50, and under the new scheme it is $70/yr (down from the $100 for 100 GB they offered me a while back).... Anyways, you can now 3rd party host once again with Photobucket, just not on their free account.... I just checked my storage use, and even with all the photos I have, I am only using 367 MB.... That means I can downgrade to the 2 MB "Beginner+" plan and still be able to store 6 times as many photos as I have currently.... I think I will look into that, since it's only $30/yr.... I will have to check my "bandwidth usage", however, as that is the reason I had to get a paid account way back in 2008.... too many of you guys looking at my photos and charts.... ::)

I closed my photobucket account after they changed the terms of service the first time. Nice that they have added an affordable plan. I don't post enough photos for even the $30 plan to be worth it for me though. If you'd stop posting interesting things we might stop eating up your bandwidth ;D

Yeah, like THAT'S going to happen.... *LOL*....

Flickr has been working good for me Bob, I got an email from them also and just deleted it cause it's still all bull IMO. They won't fess up to how they shafted everyone, I won't go back.
-
You think they would restore all my photos from the past threads that they blocked?
-
The *(&^ with them!
-
I agree, they ain't getting a dime of ransom money from me.
Just curious if they would mend all the broken links they caused in the first place.
I down loaded all my photo's when they initially hosed us but still left them there in my "account" to tie up a little sliver of their storage space. Eventually they will purge unused / inactive accounts I am sure.

I really didn't have a choice, with thousands of images there.... and besides I have been paying for many years just to give you guys access anyways.... I ran over their bandwidth limit years ago.... However, I certainly wasn't about to pay $500.... so I'm glad they came to their senses....
All the other photo hosting sites have the same ability to pull 3rd party hosting.... so changing over wasn't an option for me anyways....

That trick PB played had a great benefit for me.................after closing my PB account I searched for other free hosting sites and found two that I use currently Snapagogo and Imgur. I even created a folder in my hard drive to house the pics I uploaded to my current photo hosting sites just incase Snapagogo & Imgur "try the blackmail game".
Anywhoo.....I'm actually more pleased with my current sites than I was with the "PhotoBucket pop-up and sales pitch site"!

I HATE the pop-ups that now riddle Photobucket.
So help me, if I see one more open mouth infested with sores... I am gonna Yack!
-
Only plan I ever had at PB was the add free thing but my photos never got whacked.
Don't know why and I ain't asking!
;)

Looks like any of their paid plans now allow 3rd party hosting.... Mine never got whacked either....
